Why I am not a Calvinist!

I remember one time someone calling me a "Calvinist," and I remember being so angry. Never in my life have I been more offended than when someone labelled me with that horrid name. For to me there is no other doctrine more DISPICABLE than that of John Calvin. And I certainly don't want to be associated with that DICTATOR, and Bible Perverter. I find his doctrines not only un-biblical, but also illogical and unbelieveable. For this reason, I am not a Calvinist. And I wish here to go on record saying so. I've never believed in Calvinism, nor will I. It's an insane idea by an insane man.

However, there are many people out there, even in Independent Baptist Churches, who call themselves Christians yet they believe in the teachings of Calvinism and call themselves Calvinists. It is with these people with whom I dogmatically choose not to associate.

There are many reasons why I choose not to follow them in the error of their ways, and I will briefly explain some of their doctrines and teachings below and then tell why I do not wish to follow them in their anti-biblical doctrines.

THE "TULIP"

The teachings of Calvinism have been whittled down by many to an interesting acronym, that of "T-U-L-I-P." These letters stand for:

Total Depravity

Unconditional Election

Limited Atonement

Irresistable Grace

Preservation of the Saints

Now, let me publically state I'm not a 1 point or 2 point or 3 point, etc. Calvinist. I am a NO point Calvinist. That is, I don't adhere to ANY of these points, especially as John Calvin presented them.

Let's look at each one of these in a little more detail.

TOTAL DEPRAVITY

Although I agree with the "depravity" part, I don't agree with the word "total." Calvinists believe that men have no free will in and of themselves. And they further believe that man is SO depraved, that he can't even of his own free will believe on Christ. They teach, therefore, that God must first "regenerate" the man so that he can then believe on Christ.

I find this to be probably the DUMBEST, CRAZIEST, most RIDICULOUS teaching ever invented by man. For in our King James Bible, the word "freewill" appears 17 times! How on earth could a man who claims to be a Calvinist preach from a Bible that 17 times uses a word that he claims man doesn't have??? That's C-R-A-Z-Y! That's why I adamantly REJECT this teaching. Although man is depraved (that is he's a Sinner), he's not so depraved that he can't do anything of his own free will.

UNCONDITIONAL ELECTION

This teaching is a real doosie. Calvinists teach that God has already chosen who is the elect and who isn't. In other words, men don't have a choice in the matter. They are either the "elect" or they aren't. If they are, they'll go to heaven. If they aren't, they'll go to hell. But where is man's choice in the matter? It's not there. Once again, Calvinists have done away with man's "freewill." And by so doing, they leave the choice up to God and not man. But this is silly. For God gave man free will to either accept or reject God, his teachings, and his doctrines. So to believe this would mean you have to accept a God who is "unfair" and who will not give certain people a chance to be saved.

But in the Bible, we find that today, everyone has an opportunity to be born again. It is by their CHOICE of either accepting or rejecting Jesus Christ. I therefore REJECT this teaching by John Calvin, for it does away with man's decision of choosing to be saved or not.

LIMITED ATONEMENT

This teaching to me is out right BLASHPEMY! For Calvinists believe that Jesus didn't die for everyone, only for a certain few, which call the "elect."

But what does the Bible say about this? It says that Jesus died for ALL MEN (1 Tim. 2:5,6). Why would Calvinists then say otherwise? It's almost as if they are denying the blood atonement as sufficient for the sins of all men, downgrading it, making it only good enough for a select few.

This is ridiculous! God is not "limited" in his power. His blood atonement was sufficient to pay for the sins of the entire world, and for every man woman and child that ever walked on the face of this earth, past, present, and future. So why would they desire to "limit" that efficacious atonment?

They limit it to only those who are saved. But then, they turn around and say they don't know who the saved are, and only God knows who's elect. If that be so, then they are so stupid that they can't tell you who Jesus Christ died for. But I know who Jesus died for. He died for ME! ANd not only me, for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2)!

What's further crazy, is that NO CALVINIST can ever tell you that they know for sure if they are saved or not. They can only "hope" they are one of the elect. This is silly. For in the Bible, you can KNOW you have eternal life (1 John 5:13). Calvinists, therefore, don't know who Jesus died for, don't know if they are one of the elect, and don't even know if they'll go to heaven when they die. Who would want to belive in such a ridiculous system?

IRRESISTABLE GRACE

This teaching is utter nonsense and I certainly disagree. For although I do believe in the "grace" of God, I can not believe that man must accept it against his own will. No, man with his FREE WILL, can reject it. For example, look at Acts 7:51. There we find the Jews "resisting" the Holy Ghost. Also we find that a Christian can "grieve" the Holy Spirit in Eph. 4:30.

I thank God for the grace of God, but I don't believe it's "irresistable." There have been plenty of people in this earth that God showed grace to, but they "resisted" it and did wrong. How could anyone believe in "irresistible grace?"

PRESERVATION OF THE SAINTS

This last teaching of Calvinism has been changed over the years. Today many Calvinists call it the "preservation" of the saints. But that's not what John Calvin said it was. He believed in the "perserverance of the saints." In other words, he taught that you were one of the elect, ONLY, (and notice that word "only"), if you ENDURED to the end. For if you fell away, then you were immediately labelled by other Calvinist to be "LOST," and they were quick to point the finger at you and say you weren't one of the "elect." This set up strange system, in which the men in charge, who DIDN'T even know if they were part of the elect, could pass judgment and tell you that they KNEW for sure that you WEREN'T part of the elect! What a crazy system! It set men up as judges over others and they could point the finger anytime someone sinned. But they themselves didn't even know if they were saved. They only "hoped" they were. And because of this, there were many who thought that keeping the commandments and doing good works meant they were part of the "elect." In other words, they ended up trusting in their OWN WORKS, rather than faith alone in the FINISHED WORK of Jesus Christ.

To me this is inexcusable, and outright blasphemous. I do not believe ANY of the 5 points of Calvinism. Nor, do I want do. I also don't desire to follow Calvin! To me, John Calvin was a horrible example of a religous leader. He was a MURDERER! For he had Servetus burned at the stake. That's M-U-R-D-E-R! Who would want to follow a man like that?

Further, his doctrine was not Biblical. He tried to apply salvation only to the "elect," which he defined only as those who followed him and his teaching. However, the Bible says that the "elect" are those who of their own accord receive Jesus Christ as Saviour by trusting his shed blood atonement as sufficient to take them to heaven.

With that stated, let me sum it up as clearly as I can, "I'M NOT A CALVINIST, NOR DO I ADHERE TO ANY OF THE POINTS OF CALVANISM. I FUTHER THINK CALVIN DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IF HE WAS SAVED OR NOT, and I PERSONALLY WONDER IF HE EVEN WAS, AS HE COULD MURDER OTHER PEOPLE WITHOUT GUILT OR REMORSE!

For those who didn't get it, allow me to reiterate, "I THINK CALVIN WAS EVIL! AND I REJECT HIS FALLACIOUS TEACHINGS, AND VIEW THEM AS ANTI-BIBLICAL!"

Now, why am I so adamant about this? It's because I've had someone accuse me of being a Calvinist. Well, THEY ARE WRONG! And this article should prove that without any shadow of a doubt!

One thing I do appreciate, however, about modern Calvinists is their desire to print and distribute much literature. Although I don't agree with their doctrines, I have noticed that oftentimes, they do preach the Gospel of salvation by FAITH ALONE IN THE BLOOD ATONEMENT OF JESUS CHRIST." For this they should be applauded. However, when they try to DIVERT people into believing that even though Jesus died that a person must believe what they teach in order to be one of the "elect," we should reject them and their heretical teaching of Calvin, and rather point sinners only to the word of God, and salvation by man's own FREEWILL of accepting Jesus Christ's sacrificial blood atonement by FAITH alone.

So this is why I'm NOT a Calvinist. It's because the founder of that movement was corrupt, and so are his teachings. And I want nothing to do with him or them. And although some of the modern followers of Calvinism might present the gospel clearly in their literature, and for this I praise God, I still reject them for their following the other doctrines of John Calvin.

The Ommission of the Blood of Jesus Christ

I've been saying it for years, that modern FUNDAMENTALISTS, EVANGELICALS, and so-called CHRISTIANS, are GUILTY of ommitting the blood of Jesus Christ in their gospel message, either ignorantly or willfully. By saying this, I've gotten a lot of angry letters, emails, phone calls, etc. They all tell me things like, "Well, you don't have to know about the blood to be saved!" or "You don't have to know anything to get saved. Just come to God the best way you know how!" But is that so? Of course not. A person must first HEAR the gospel before he can believe it, and before he believes it, he must UNDERSTAND it! That's just sound Bible doctrine.

I was reading through a commentary by J. Vernon McGee the other day, and read the following. I believe it's very important for us today, for there are many today who claim to be Christians, yet they leave out the blood of Jesus Christ for salvation. I quote from page 20 of his commentary on the book of 1 Peter:

" 'And sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ...' There is often a silence about the blood of Christ, even in fundamental circles. As long as the blood of our Lord coursed through His veins, it had no saving value for us; but when that precious blood was shed, Christ Jesus gave His life. The life of the flesh is in the blood. He shed that blood that you and I might have life.
Remember that Peter is writing to Jews who had been brought up in Judaism. They were the Diaspora, believing Jews living in Asia minor. They knew the Old Testament, and they understood that the high priest on the Day of Atonement took blood with him when he went into the Holy of Holies, and that he sprinkled the blood seven times on the mercy seat. Now the Lord Jesus Christ has taken His own blood to the throne of God (the throne at which we are judged as guilty sinners), and He sprinkled His blood there. He gave His life and paid the penalty for us. Now that throne of judgment is the throne of grace where you and I can come and receive salvation.
My friend, the gospel has not been preached until the meaning of the blood of Christ has been explained. It may offend you aesthetically--the offense of the cross is that He shed His blood. Of course it is not pretty, but your sin and my sin are not pretty either. Our ugly sin is what made it necessary for Christ to die for us.
This reminds me of a story about a terrible accident which occurred at a railroad crossing. Several people were killed when the train hit a car. There was a court trial, and the watchman who had been at the crossing at the time of the accident was questioned.
'Where were you at the time of the accident?'
'I was at the crossing.'
'Did you have a lantern?'
'Yes.'
'Did you wave that lantern to warn them of the danger?'
'I certainly did.'
The court thought that was enough evidence. When the watchman walked out of the court he was heard to mumble to himself, 'I'm sure glad they didn't ask me about the light in the lantern because the light had gone out.'
My friend, there can be a lot of lanterns waved in the circles of fundamentalism and evangelicalism and conservatism. However, unless there is the message of the blood of Jesus Christ and the sprinkling of the blood which cleanses us from all sin, there is no light in the lantern."

One old preacher once said, "You can't preach the Gospel without preaching the BLOOD, and you can't preach the BLOOD without preaching the Gospel!" What on earth, then are modern so-called Christians preaching?

Oh yeah, that's right. They are preaching a "BLOODLESS GOSPEL" which is "another gospel," of which the apostle Paul warns us about in Galatians chapter one. What is their gospel? It goes something like:

Just ask God to save you

Ask or invite Jesus into your heart

Make your committment to Christ

Call on the Lord through prayer alone and ask him to come into your heart

Repeat this prayer after me

Simply Recite the Sinner's Prayer

But, all of these modern gospels have one thing in common -- THEY ALL LEAVE OUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST, and FAITH ALONE IN IT FOR SALVATION!

Further, they can all be done in the MIND, without any faith whatsoever from the HEART.

So HOW ON EARTH, can so called Fundamentalists, Evangelicals, and Christians preach THESE rather than simply pointing sinners to Christ crucified and salvation by faith alone in his precious shed blood? It's insanity!

I'll close with this. I'm constantly working to get people the truth about the Spanish Bible, and which one is the best. Through my studies, I'm convinced it's the Valera 1602 Purified Spanish Bible. But I'm also amazed at how many FUNDAMENTALISTS and EVANGELICALS disagree, choosing instead other versions. One of those is the modern GOMEZ Spanish Bible. And, I found a new book by one Emmanuel Rodriguez defending that version and Mr. Gomez who produced it. In that book I read about the tesimony of Mr. Gomez, and that book gives the following information about his "salvation" experience. I quote from pages 22-23:
Gomez speaking: "My religion never taught me that God was willing to save a wretch like me. They never told me that if I would PUT MY FAITH IN THE BLOOD THAT CHRIST SHED FOR ME ON THE CROSS [emphasis mine], that, not only would He save me from an eternity in hell, but He would change my life. ...but something happened to me today. I ASKED JESUS TO SAVE ME. [emphasis mine] And he did. He changed my life."
This is very interesting and is typical of what we see in modern Fundamentalists circles today. Some might talk about the blood and say that to be saved a person MUST put their faith in it. But then later they will give another conflicting idea for their plan of salvation, that of ASKING for God to save them. But where's the faith in the blood if you are asking? For asking God to save you, apart from trusting him and his blood atonement to do so is another gospel.
Is Mr. Gomez even saved according to this testimony? He tells us an American Missionary from Colorado told him the right way to be saved: By FAITH IN THE BLOOD, but then on the next page, he confesses that he rather "ASKED JESUS TO SAVE HIM." So which is it? Did he trust the blood, or did he only ask?
I'm not calling into question Mr. Gomez' salvation. He could very well be saved, and I hope he is. But why does he give two conflicting statements in his testimony in that book? Thank God he "mentioned" the blood and wasn't "silent" like many modern Fundamentalists. However, why did he say he "asked" for salvation, rather than "trusted" the blood like instructed?

This is an important point. For there are countless millions of people today who call themselves Fundamentalists or Evangelicals who rather than preach the Blood, pressure people to "repeat a prayer" or "call vocally upon God asking for salvation" without stressing a Sinner's need to trust the blood atonement. They are like Mr. McGee said, watchman with no LIGHT in their lanterns.

I'll close with one more example. I was preaching in Guatemala once with a man who had a big church and bus ministry. I preached on "THE BLOOD of Jesus Christ." Afterwards, the Pastor got up and apologized publically for not having preached the blood before, and he promised from then on to preach the blood alone for salvation. Yet, he'd been in the ministry for decades and claimed he had won thousands to Jesus Christ. What then was he preaching? It was a "BLOODLESS GOSPEL." But he was only doing what he'd been instructed to do in his own Bible College when he went "soul winning." What was that? A quick 1,2, 3 repeat after me method of quickly pressuring a sinner to REPEAT a prayer, without any signs of REPENTANCE from the heart. And absolutely no mention of the blood atonement, nor one's need to trust it alone for salvation. Who was this man? I'd rather not give his name, needless to say, he uses the Gomez Spanish Bible now. Could there be a pattern here?

Oh, and I forgot to mention that the Gomez Bible is now printed by Chick Tracts. You know, the ones with the cartoons in them. And, have you ever read the back page of a Chick Tract? They instruct you to "ASK" Jesus into your heart. Where's the FAITH IN THE BLOOD like the evangelist from Colorado instructed Mr. Gomez to follow? They might mention the blood, but they don't instruct Sinners to trust or rely solely in the shed blood by faith alone. They try to get sinners to ask or beg for salvation apart from resting only in the finished work of Christ.

I'm a BIBLE BELIEVER, and I'm quickly getting as far away as I can from modern apostate FUNNY-MENT-AL-ISTS who claim to be standing for the faith, when they preaching another plan of salvation. I don't want to be connected to anyone who OMITS the blood of Jesus Christ. And that's exactly what they are doing.

If you are a Fundamentalist, an Evangelical, or a Christian, make sure you don't go along with them in the error of their ways in ommitting the blood atonement of Jesus Christ. Preach the blood with all your might! Make sure there is LIGHT in your latern!

This is a very important topic. That of salvation. For there very well could be countless millions of people within the Fundamentalist, Evangelical, and even Independent Baptist movements which are lost, trusting a BLOODLESS GOSPEL rather than the true BLOODSTAINED GOSPEL of Jesus Christ. It is for them that I keep my lantern lit! Wouldn't you do the same?

In this article, Mr. Rodriguez states that for "dishonest practices" I was "kicked" out of my old home church. I know of no dishonesty on my part, nor of any dishonest practices. All I know is that I of my own accord left that church over this very issue, an issue in which they used to be in complete agreement with me. It appears the doctrine of SALVATION and the SPANISH BIBLE are quickly being melded together, and in order to find the right Spanish Bible, you need to make sure the people who try to steer you in the direction of thier own version(s) have the RIGHT GOSPEL of salvation to begin with! For this is a very, very important issue.)

Ask Who into Where?

One thing that I, as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, can't stand is this modern anti-biblical teaching that's filled churches world-wide in which a Sinner seeking salvation is instructed to simply "ASK JESUS INTO THEIR HEART."

This is not only heretical and illogical, but also very dangerous, for it can lead to a person getting a DEMON rather than getting saved!

I know that might sound very far-fetched to some, but you must understand, NO WHERE IN THE BIBLE IS ANYONE ANY WHERE EVER INSTRUCTED TO ASK JESUS INTO THEIR HEART! It's simply not there. So where does this come from? The answer: From apostate teachings and apostate denominations.

Way back in the 1800's there were the unitarians and universalists who taught the brotherhood of man. They believed we were all "brothers" whether we were saved or not. And they eventually are the ones who started this anti-biblical instruction of "asking Jesus into your heart" claiming that was the only way "Jesus" could live inside of you and dwell in your heart. And though the Bible does tell us that Jesus indeed does dwell inside of believers, it DOES NOT teach that he does so through ASKING. Rather they Bible teaches that Christ dwells in the hearts of believers only through TRUSTING.

Below are a few verses about this...

Ephesians 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts BY FAITH; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

In the Bible, when Jesus comes into a person's heart, it is always through FAITH, not by asking." Faith in What? FAITH in the blood atonement of Jesus Christ, his Sacrifice for your sins on Calvary.

This is simple, plain, Biblical salvation. You are saved through faith alone, and not by works. And your faith must be in the blood of Jesus Christ (Rom. 3:25) shed on your behalf for your sins.

Now, with this in mind, let's look at this modern false gospel of "Ask Jesus into your Heart." Is it Biblical? Most certainly not! So, then, what does it do for the Sinner? Nothing, in God's eyes, for it is trying to come to God and seek forgiveness apart from the Blood of Jesus. It does not and cannot save anyone.

So what does it do? The fact is that instructing a Sinner to simply "Ask Jesus into their heart" can be the most damaging thing that any person can ever do, and it might just not only end them up in Hell, but might get them a DEMON as well.

Let me explain...

A few years ago I met a man who used to be a Devil worshipper, and who told me that he had countless experiences with Demons. So I asked the man the following question, "Did you ever know any Demons named Jesus?" The man answered, "Funny you should say that, because oftentimes the Demons would ask me to call them Jesus?"

This lead to me remembering the verse in 2 Cor. 11:4, which speaks of those who preach "another Jesus," which is not the Jesus of the Bible. Could this be those DEMONS who desire to be called Jesus?

I next asked the man how a person gets a Demon. His answer was very disturbing. He said, "To get a demon, a person has to ASK for it!"

This made me ponder well the modern "ask Jesus into your heart" gospel. For if a person asked another Jesus into their heart, a DEMON, he very well could get one! This means "asking Jesus into your heart" could lead to a person getting DEMON-POSSESSED!

I finally asked the man, "What makes Demons flee?" He answered, "Funny you should ask that as well, for the only thing that makes Demons flee is mention of the blood of Jesus Christ!"

So there you have it. If a so-called "Soul-Winner" goes to a lost soul and instructs him to simply "ask Jesus into his heart" then that poor soul could be asking a DEMON to come inside of him!

The only way to make sure a person doesn't get a Demon is to PREACH THE BLOOD ATONEMENT OF JESUS CHRIST for salvation, and FAITH in it alone, for this makes the Demons flee!

Thus, this modern blood-less gospel of "Ask Jesus to come into your heart and life" pleases the Devil greatly, as it's one of his greatest tools for him and his legions to gain acess and entrance into the hearts of the lost.

So I ask you? Is it right to tell people to "ASK JESUS INTO THEIR HEARTS?" Or should we rather instruct them in the Bible way of salvation, which is complete TRUST in the finished work of Jesus Christ (i.e. his shed blood) on the cross of Calvary?

TRUST JESUS FOR SALVATION AND HE WILL ENTER INTO YOUR HEART

ASK JESUS TO COME INTO YOUR HEART, AND YOU COULD BE ASKING A DEMON TO COME INTO YOU!

Who's to Blame for America's Problems?

It cannot be denied that America has problems. We are a nation of problems. People are no longer moral, the government is bankrupt, and this country that once was called a "Christian nation" is actively hostile towards God and the Bible.

So who's to blame for America's headlong fall into apostasy? That's a question that I've asked myself time and again. And I think I've found the answer. It's not just one person or one party. It's a combination of many things. But the following are the ones I place the blame on for the downfall of this once great nation.

1. POLITICIANS

America was founded unlike any other nation on the face of this earth (with the possible exception of the nation of Israel). It was set up with a union of sovereign states, each one governing themselves, and each citizen of that state a sovereign himself. He had absolute freedom to own his own property and do whatever he wanted, as long as he didn't break the laws of his state. And according to the Constitution, he had certain GOD GIVEN, UN-A-LIEN-ABLE rights which could not be infringed upon. He was FREE.

But my how times have changed. Politicians over the years have passed legislature that have taken way many of the rights of the people that the constitution affords them. And they continue to attack our freedoms today. Further, they spend money like it's going out of style, and plunging this once great nation deeper and deeper into debt. THEY are to blame for the ECONOMIC DOWNFALL of our nation.

2. PROFESSORS

It used to be that people did not have to get an "education" if they didn't want one. Most people went to the school of "Hard Knox" and graduated with a degree in "Common Sense." But as our nation grew, politicians slowly took over the education system, and taught people that they should send their children to state-run, secular schools. This made the "PROFESSOR" the final authority, and children were taught to follow him and his teachings. In the early 1900's, the vast majority of professors bought the anti-biblical and anti-creationist view of "Evilution" (sorry, I spelled that wrong. It's: Evolution). And as they taught that men were just "animals" then students began to live like such. Later, professors adopted political views, and pushed "Communism" down the throats of their students, leading to the students hatred towards capitalism, freedom, and the very things that made America great to begin with. This led to the POLITICAL DOWNFALL of our nation.

3. PREACHERS

It used to be almost everyone on America went to Church. It was part of the moral fiber of the nation. The citizens as a whole were religious and believed in God. But eventually, that changed, as more and more people got away from church. How did this happen? With the influx of German Rationalism, which denied the miracles and diety of Jesus Christ, and the introduction of Textual Criticism, which undermined the authority of the King James Bible and questioned its veracity, many apostate ministers began to preach on "social" issues, rather than against sin. Apostates themselves, they preached apostasy, and bred apostate congregations.

But they aren't the only ones to blame. Those preachers who remained faithful to preach the truth, no longer did so with righteous indignation and a fervor for the truth. Often, they preached on outward sins, rather than inwards sins, and allowed their congregations to do as they pleased. This led to more sinful people who appeared righteous outwardly, but inwardly were full of all unrighteousness. Their children saw their hypocrisy, and eventually went astray, for they saw them preaching one thing from their mouth, but with their deeds and actions they did another. This led to the APOSTATE DOWNFALL of America, and a nation full of hypocrites and religious pharisees who claimed to believe something with their head, but not from the heart.

4. PARENTS

The final group which added to the downfall of America are the Parents. These are those who did not take their children under their wings and train them up in the ways of God. Rather they had the attitude of giving their children away to others to train them for them. They gave them to secular, state-run schools, who taught them evolution and communism. They gave them to apostate churches and sunday schools, who taught them social grace rather than salvation. They gave them to political organizations which taught them how to organize and work tother in "groups" rather than being good, upstanding individual citizens in a free society. In other words, the parents and their values were not passed on to their children, rather their children were indoctrinated into the beliefs of the world. And because of this, we see the DOWNFALL of the FAMILY in America, where marriage is looked upon as "outdated" and fornication is not sin, but rather only "free love." This has given us a nation of bastards both spiritually and physically, as single parents are on the rise in our nation, and such parents don't spend much time with their children, rather sending them to the state to raise them for them. A state, with no moral fiber, rather only secular teachings.

SUMMARY

So who's to blame? I think you know ultimately, it's the DEVIL who's caused all the problems in our nation. But he's used the many different groups at his disposal to help him do so. He's used Politicians, Professors, Apostate Preachers, and apathetic Parents to forward his agenda. And what is his agenda, you might ask? Why that's easy. The Bible tells us that he desires a ONE WORLD ORDER in which he's in control of everything and everyone. And what better way than to separate children from their parents and indoctrinate them in the ways of heresy, regulative and constrictive politics, and ungodly, secular reasoning. All of this turns them against God and prepares their hearts for the Satan's soon appearing.

So the question is, are YOU one of those mentioned above. Are you one of those who's to blame? Are you a Preacher, a Teacher, a Politician, or a Parent? If so, ask yourself, "Have I added to the problem, or have I done all I could to instruct others to go against the apostasy and secular humanism of our day? Have I done all I can for the cause of Christ Jesus, or have I been apathetic and allowed the Devil to have his will and way?"

The Bible says in Ephesians 4:27: "Neither give place to the Devil."

You can either add to the problem, or you can do your due diligence to fight against it. It's all up to you. But know this. You can never change the nation. But your actions can affect individuals. You can help others to know the truth, one by one. And what's the ultimate truth? The Bible.

BILLY GRAHAM'S HERETICAL TEACHING ON SALVATION

I read the Pensacola News Journal the other day and I turned to the column by Billy Graham. As I read the title, I immediately became enraged at the absolute HERESY that I saw. It said, "each time we sin, we must seek forgiveness." What? Doesn't the blood atonement of Jesus Christ offer forgiveness for ALL sins? Why then should we ask to be forgiven all over again when we sin?

And as I read through the piece, I couldn't help by be saddened by the GREAT heretical teaching that I found spewing forth from this so-called Baptist Preacher.

Mr. Graham's column is always a question and answer forum. And the question this time from a reader was: "If all our sins are forgiven when we come to Jesus, then why do we have to keep seeking God's forgiveness when we sin? If we're already forgiven, why bother asking for forgiveness when we sin?

This is an EXCELLENT question, for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary paid for all sins, PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE! And to be forgiven, one must receive that payment by FAITH, not by ASKING. In other words, you are forgiven when you TRUST the blood atonement of Jesus. It's not your beggings, pleadings, or asking for forgiveness that secures God's pardon. It's whether or not you have accepted the salvation that God offers by FAITH in his shed blood!

But how does Mr. Graham answer the question? I quote: "It's true that when we sincerely repent of our sins and turn to Christ for forgiveness, God completely forgives us and looks on us as if we have never sinned."

This is great! Mr. Graham should have stopped right there, for this is a sound Bible truth. However, he then adds: "But we will still sin -- and when we do, we need to confess it and repent of it, and ASK Christ to forgive us...when you sin, repent of it and seek God's forgiveness at once."

What? He just said prior to that that God forgives COMPLETELY and looks at Christians as if they have never sinned. But now he says that after we sin, we need to ASK Christ to forgive us. Why? Does that mean that God only forgives your PAST sins based upon his sacrifice on the cross, but all future sins are not paid for, thus you must seek forgiveness of them by confession? This is EXACTLY what Mr. Graham's answer leads us to believe. And this is utter HERESY!!!

Of course when Christians sin they should confess it to God and repent (feel sorry) of it. Mr. Graham has this right. But to teach that a man must then ASK God for forgiveness of that sin is not Biblical. This is not sound doctrine. Why ask God for something you already have?

To ASK God to forgive your sins is to beg God to do something apart from his sacrificial shed blood atonement and faith in it alone. You are either saved by FAITH alone, or by ASKING for forgiveness. Which is it?

To instruct a Christian to ask God for forgiveness is to instruct them to do something apart from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For when a person is saved, he HAS God's forgiveness already. Why then should he ask for it all over again. (Doesn't this imply DOUBT that a Christian even has forgiveness to begin with?) All a Christian needs to do according to the Bible is confess it and forsake it (Prov. 28:13). He does not need to "seek forgiveness" for it. For in Christ, he already has forgiveness. (Or as Mr. Graham put it before, "God completely forgives us and looks on us as if we have never sinned." This Mr. Graham has correct. But to turn around and then say that afterwards you must seek forgiveness is not only ILLOGICAL, but ANTI-SCRIPTURAL!)

Now, because a person is forgiven of all their sins in the person and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, this does not give a man an excuse to sin more. Rather it's a great incentive to do all he can to stop sinning. Because Christ Jesus granted him forgiveness, he should want to live for God and sin less, not sin more. (It's because I'm saved and forgiven that I serve Christ Jesus, not in order to be saved or be forgiven.)

Mr. Graham has a warped idea of salvation. To tell people that salvation is by asking for forgiveness, is to tell a person that they can receive forgiveness by something THEY do, rather than trusting in what JESUS did for them in their place for their sins. This is a great blasphemy, because it gets the eyes off of Jesus as the FORGIVER, and onto the Sinner. God forgives, but he only forgives based upon one's faith in his finished work. He will not forgive anyone simply because they ask him to. How could Mr. Graham miss this? How could he say it correctly, but then turn around and negate what he said by saying that after a Sinner has forgiveness, and is viewed by God as sinless in Christ, that he must later seek forgiveness?

Why is that? Hmmm. Oh, yeah, I know why... it's because Mr. Graham doesn't preach the Blood Atonement of Jesus Christ for savlation. Rather, he tells people to simply "make their commitment" to Christ, or to "Ask Jesus into their hearts and lives." But these are BLOODLESS GOSPELS which emphasize that a person is to DO SOMETHING (i.e. works) rather than simply trust in what Jesus Christ has already DONE for mankind to offer them forgiveness of sins.

ASKING VS. TRUSTING

For God does not give anyone forgiveness of their sins because they ask him to. Rather God only gives forgiveness to those who receive him by FAITH in his precious shed blood.

You would think if a person was truly saved, they would know this. How could a man who claims to be an evangelist tell you that you are saved and sinless in Christ, but then turn around and tell you that you have to ask for forgiveness later when you sin. That's not right. When you sin as a Christian, you should confess it to God, not man, and you should forsake it, but you already have forgiveness. That's how good God is. He forgave you before you even commited that sin! According to Mr. Graham, it sounds like you lose your salvation when you sin, and that's why you have to "ask for forgiveness" all over again. But that's a wicked HERESY, for the Bible tells us in the book of Hebrews that if you could lose it, you could NEVER get it back again. So, Biblically, you either have forgiveness of your sins or you don't, and it's not by your asking, rather by your trusting God's finished work of his sacrificial blood atonement on the cross of Calvary. Could it be that those who "ask" for forgiveness do so because they AREN'T FORGIVEN in the first place? Could the be lost, and it's for this reason that they don't understand the Gospel of salvation and forgiveness by FAITH rather than by BEGGING?

What's the Job of a Pastor?

Many people today have very strange ideas about what a Pastor is and what he's supposed to do. They get their teachings usually from modern tradition or from their own denomination rather than from the Bible. So according to the word of God, what is the job of a Pastor? What should he do?

The answer is very simple. As simply put as possible, the Pastor should: 1. READ, 2. FEED, 3. INTERCEDE, 4. SPOT THE NEED, and 5. LEAD.

Let's look at each one of these in light of the scriptures:

1. READ THE BIBLE

The Pastor's job is to spend as much time as possible in the Scriptures reading and studying them. We find this in the book of Acts in the following passage:

Acts 6:1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.

Acts 6:2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.

Acts 6:3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.

Acts 6:4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

Here we find Peter and his congregation coming to him with problems. Rather than deal with them, Peter tells what he's supposed to be doing. He says he should not "leave the word." In other words, the Pastor's job is to spend as much time in the scriptures as possible, so that he might bring a powerful message to his congregation. He's to STUDY, and READ God's word and learn it inside and out, so that he might devote himself to "the ministry of the word" (vs 4).

2. FEED THE CONGREGATION

A Pastor is not only supposed to be learned in the scriptures, but he must also know how to minister or preach the word of God others. He must also know how to TEACH them, so that once people are saved, they will grow in the Lord. This is easily found in the following passages:

John 21:16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

1 Timothy 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

God's intention for preachers and pastors is to not only PREACH the word, but also TEACH new converts from the scriptures. This is an important work, and is something all those who claim to be Pastors should know how to do.

3. INTERCEDE FOR OTHERS

We've already look at Acts chapter six above. And in verse 4 we read that one of the things that Pastors should do is give themselves "continually to prayer." This is to pray for others both lost and saved. They are to beg God to save the lost and help them to hear the Gospel, and they are supposed to intercede on behalf of other Christians who are suffering and plead God to give them grace and if possible deliverance.

Below Paul also tells us:

Colossians 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

In the first verse, we have the Apostle Paul, who instructed us to be a follower of him, telling other Christians that he did not cease to pray for them. And in the second verse we find Paul instructing Timothy, a young preacher, to pray and intercede on behalf of all men. Thus, a true Pastor should follow this example as well, found often in prayer, praying for not only his own congregation, but also for other Christians, and even those lost people in his community and abroad.

4. SPOT THE NEED OF OTHERS

All throughout Paul's writings, we find him caring about other Christians and helping them. In fact, he often took up offerings for the poor saints. This is something that is greatly lacking among modern Pastors today who usually are paid large sums of money to Pastor churches, but often do not put a dime back into the offering plate to help the less fortune church members in his congregation. But there are oftentimes many Christians who come to church who have great needs, and it is the supposed to be the CHURCH that helps one another. Some verses on this are as follows:

Romans 15:25 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.

2 Corinthians 8:4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

2 Corinthians 9:1 For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:

Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

This "ministering" Paul speaks of was usually in the form of an offering unto the poor saints to help them in their affliction while they were suffering for Jesus. Sadly, many churches would rather give to the lost in the form of clothing, food, money, etc. before they would help those in their own church. It's not wrong to give. But shouldn't the Church come first? A good Pastor would be faithful in helping those in his own church and make sure their needs are met, before going to the lost world and helping the poor there. And any help given to the poor should be with the goal in mind of using that generosity to forward the opportunity to preach the Gospel to the poor.

5. LEAD THE CONGREGATION

Hebrews 13:7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

The Pastor is supposed to be the spiritual leader of the congregation. That is, he's supposed to lead the people according to the scriptures. But he's not to be a DICTATOR. People should follow him as he follows Christ. And if he's a good Pastor, he will learn how to EXHORT people, rather than EXTORT people.

We live in a day and age of many Pastors who abuse their spiritual authority, and try to pressure people to do certain things. Further, some are so dictatorial that they might even force people to do things against their will. Such a Pastor is not of a sound mind, nor is he a good example of a Christian. For Jesus never forced anyone to do anything against their own will.

A good Pastor knows how to preach the scriptures and encourage people to do right, but he knows that he can't make people do anything. They should live for Jesus and obey the scriptures because they want to, not because their Pastor makes them do so.

And the Pastor should LEAD his congreation. This means he should be doing what the scriptures say, and not just telling his congregation to do it, while he himself does nothing.

We live in an age of Pastors who have the mentality of "do what I say, not what I do!" This is a horrible example of a true servant of Jesus Christ. In fact, it's a PHARISEE! For Jesus said the following of those old religious leaders in Matthew 23:3-4...

3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

Be very careful of Pastors who are quick to tell you what to do, but they never do it themselves. Or, they preach against something, but they partake of that same thing themselves. Those types of Pastors are not fulfilling God's plan in their life, and are most likely nothing more than hirelings, who only care about themselves, and not the people of God.

Once again, the Pastor's job should be:

1. READ

2. FEED

3. INTERCEDE

4. SPOT THE NEED

5. LEAD

Is your Pastor fulfilling his ministry? If not, why not print up this small article and give it to your Pastor? Ask him to prayerfully consider this treatise. And plead with him to put God first, his congregation second, and himself last. For a true Pastor will always want what's best for his people before he gets what's best for himself.

Christian Nobility

Sitting in Church the other Sunday I sat under a preacher who taught us from the book of Nehemiah. He had some interesting points, but one of the things we read in the passage really hit home with me, and I quickly wrote down some notes in order to write this blog. First, let me give the passage below from Nehemiah chapter three:

1 Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Meah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananeel.

2 And next unto him builded the men of Jericho. And next to them builded Zaccur the son of Imri.

3 But the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build, who also laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof.

4 And next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Urijah, the son of Koz. And next unto them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabeel. And next unto them repaired Zadok the son of Baana.

5 And next unto them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their Lord.

In this passage we find the people of Israel returning from captivity to work together to rebuild the city of Jerusalem. Now, Israel is not the church, nor vice versa. But we can spiritually apply this passage to the church today, and make some comparisons. The priests would be a type of modern day "Pastors," while the Israelite people rebuilding the wall would be a type of the "church congregation." And notice that they are all working together in harmony. That is all of them but those in verse 5, who, "put not their necks to the work of their Lord." At first I didn't know what this meant. I had to think about it. Then I figured it out. These "nobles" not only didn't do any work, but they also wouldn't even TURN THEIR HEADS to even look at the work. They just sat there on their rear ends, probably eating bon-bons, and drinking mint juleps! And they weren't interested in doing anything for God!

They were completely happy in their position of laziness and didn't care at all about the work of Lord. So much so, that they didn't even want to LOOK at the work of the Lord. They wanted others to do it all, while they themselves did nothing but enjoy the fruit of the labors of others.

Now, let's spiritually apply this literal, historical passage to the church today. Are there those in the church today who like the "nobility" of old who do the same? Do they, like most nobles, think they are more important than others, and for this reason, they don't need to get their hands dirty?

Sadly, there are such people in our churches today. They are usually that "upiddy, up" crowd in the church who's families for years have been in the church, and who think that because their daddy or granddaddy built the church, that they are more important to the church than anyone else (cause if it wasn't for their forefathers, there would be any church at all).

What's worse is when the Pastor caters to them, and esteems them higher than the "newer members," which elevates these "nobles" even more in their pride, which makes them look even more important to the church than anyone else.

But this is something that God is very much against. Revelation 2:6 tells us:

"But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate."

What were the deeds of the Nicolaitans? It was the practice of making two classes of Christians: those who were the most important and those who are looked upon as less important. The word Nicolaity is a compound word consisting of two words: Nico and Laity.

Nico or Nike was the God of "rights" of the people. He taught that certain people deserved some things while others didn't. And laity has to do with those people who are under others. It is from this term with get the word "laymen," or those who are not in a role of church leadership, and who are rather average church members.

This is nothing short of "class warfare" within the church house. For there are not two classes of Christians. There is only one. But in our age we see a great division among Church people. Especially with the teaching of "laymen" vs. "church workers." You know the teaching, in which certain people in the church are looked upon as "more important" than others, and those who don't do anything are only labelled as "laymen."

These then are the "nobility" in the church, who often feel that since they are so important, that they don't have to do anything, rather they should pass it on to others to do the work themselves. Pastors and deacons often fall into this category, as they demand worship from the congregation, but they themselves do nothing but count the offerings and enjoy the benefits of their position. They have converted themselves into the new "nobles."

I've seen it, and I'm sure you have too, that there always seems to be a "clique" in the church of those "rich" people or "popular" folks who run the church and hold much influence over the Pastor. Things always go their way, as they always win the vote to do things that they want done, (like what color the curtains and pews will be, like what types of festivals the church will celebrate, what kind of food people must bring for their fellowships, etc.)

This are the modern "nobility" who sway the actions of the Pastor and who though they themselves do nothing, they always want their names on the plaques on the walls because they give more to the church than anyone else.

But is this right? It's easy to spot such people, for they usually only brag upon themselves and/or on their church building, rather than on the Lord Jesus Christ. They put on a front that they are "noble" in character and lifestyle, but they are the ones who get the most angry when things don't go their way! And when they end up leaving a church during a church split, they are usually the ones who lead others away with them. Is this right?

As I read through Nehemiah, I couldn't help but chuckle. It appears the same type of people that were found in the congregation in Israel are found still today in our Churches. These are those who pass themselves off as "noble" people, who think they are too good to "turn their necks" to toil in the things of the Lord, especially when their desire is rather to "delegate" that job to others. Rather than work themselves, they enjoy the church pews, the church house, the fellowship, but they won't ever pass out a tract, visit other church members, witness to the lost, etc. They let others do it all, while they enjoy the benefits.

Like one old country preacher said of such people years ago, "I think the problem with a lot of church members is they caught a disease. It's called 'Buttroot!' Yeah, they don't do anything but sit on the church pew and because they've sat there so long, their BUTT done ROOTed to the pew. They don't do anything but sit there, and they think if it wasn't for them, the church wouldn't be there!"

There's your "Christian nobility." Just like those nobles of old in the time of Nehemiah, they sat there and did nothing while everyone else did the work. Maybe we should call it "Neckroot disease." For they, like the Israelite nobility, can't seem to even "turn their necks" to see the great need in the world today, especially for the lost world to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The SIN of Using Profanity, i.e. Cussing or Cursing

Is it wrong to cuss? That's an interesting question, especially when so many who claim to be Christians today do so time and again, oftentimes using profanity, words of anger, put downs, slanderous accusations, and hateful rhetoric.

What does the Bible say about such methods of speaking to, or maybe I should say speaking down, to others.

Well, the Bible has much to say on the subject, as a matter of fact. And it instructs us to abstain from such malicious practices. In other words, it is SIN to use profanity.

Let's look at some verses on this.

In 2 Timothy chapter two, we read:

14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

Notice what this says. It tells to avoid "PROFANE babblings." What are profane babblings? Profanity!

We further read that we should not "strive" to use these profane words, as they are unprofitable. And we are told that if a person uses profanity he "will increase unto more ungodliness." In other words, the more you CUSS, the more CARNAL you will become!

As we continue reading the context of 2 Timothy chapter two, we come to verse 19, which states:

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

This means that it is "INQUITY" or "SIN" to use profanity!

In Ephesians chapter four and verse 29 we read the following command to Christians:

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

What are "corrupt communications?" Why they are profane things which come out of your mouth that are not used to edify, rather to destroy.

In the context of this verse, we read the following verses:

Ephesians 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Ephesians 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Ephesians 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Ephesians 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.

Notice that there is a contrast between "righteousness" and "wrath." And we are commanded not to lie, rather to speak the truth. We are further commanded not "SIN" while we are "angry." Why is this? Becuase those who use profanity usually do so out of ANGER, and being full of WRATH, they take out their rage on others. This too is SIN! And it's giving place to the Devil.

This is why we are commanded in Ephesians 4:31 to:

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Notice it's called "evil speaking." Why? Because cussing, or using profanity is EVIL! It is evil words coming out of an evil man's heart! And it's usually in bitterness, wrath, anger, clamour, or malice. But it not just the attitude that is evil, but the actual words as well.

In Colossians 3:8 we are further commanded:

But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Notice God is against "filthy communication." This is the use of "dirty words." God does not like this, nor does he like people telling dirty jokes.

So how should a Christian speak? That's easy. The following verses tell us plainly:

1 Corinthians 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. Matthew 5:37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

God wants us to speak with GRACE, not with ANGER. He wants us to speak in LOVE, not in HATE or WRATH. We are supposed to speak with scripture, not with harsh and painful words designed only to wound and damage.

Thus, allow me to reiterate. To use profanity is a SIN! It's wrong to cuss, whether it be in everyday speak or as a put down towards others. It's wrong to curse whether it be an object or a person. IT IS SIN!

The question then must be asked. Are you guilty of the sin of using profanity?

It never ceases to amaze me how the prophecies of the Bible continue to be fulfilled over and over and over in our day. God said there'd be those who say, "Peace, Peace," but there is no peace, and in our day we see this everywhere with the countless wars, persecution, and violence the world over. He said there'd be earthquakes in "diverse places" and we are seeing them world-wide in the wierdest of areas. We are told in the scriptures that a one world government would take over and oppress the people, and we are seeing this come to fruition before our very eyes.

Everything that Jesus said would happen is happening, and it's coming to pass EXACTLY as God said it would.

With that stated, I thought about this "Occupy Movement" we are seeing so much of today in so many cities accross America. It's funny that they should choose the term "occupy." Because Jesus was the first to use that very same word, when he told his followers to "OCCUPY" until he returns (Luke 19:13).

How odd that people today should desire to do just that, as they try to "occupy" certain places. And how strange that God should use the term "occupy" in connection with his coming. He told his followers to occupy because he was returning for them. Could this mean that Jesus is coming soon???

Of course those who are occupying are not Christians. They are rather political, and most of time they are very anti-God and anti-Bible. So why are they using that Biblical term, all of a sudden? And, are they really occupying anything?

THE DEFINITION OF THE WORD OCCUPY

Sometimes the definitions of words change over time. This often causes confusion, as one person uses a word according to its true defintion while others use it according to their own definition, and that leads to confusion. Words have meanings, and we should always make sure we define words the same way as others. So what does the word "occupy" mean?

If I were to ask you to define the word, what would you say it means to you?

To me, I always thought the word meant to "stay in one place." And it appears that this is how the word is used today by the news media and the "Occupy Movement." They are staying in one place to show their solidarity and to protest certain things.

But is that what the word really means? Did Jesus mean it that way? Did Jesus say to his followers, "Stay, until I come." That wouldn't make any sense, would it? I mean where are they going to go without him? Outerspace?

So maybe the word "occupy" means something other than "stay." And as we look to the dictionary, we find that it does mean something entirely different. In fact, it has many meanings.

In the 1828 Webster's Dictionary, the word is defined as:

Occupy:

1. To take possession.

2. To keep in possession; to possess; to hold or keep for use.

3. To take up; to possess; to cover or fill.

4. To employ; to use.

5. To employ; to busy one's self.

6. To follow, as business.

7. To use; to expend.

According to the dictionary, the word occupy has several different meanings. Which one did Jesus mean? Obviously, he meant for Christians to "follow" him in business, and to busy themselves in his work.

Notice that the word also means to "employ." That means to "work!" How is it then, that the "Occupy Movement" doesn't do any of that? They cry that they are the 99%, and they are against the 1%, but they themselves don't do anything. They don't have jobs! Well, that is unless you count the money they are paid to go out and protest, but people aren't supposed to know about that. They are supposed to believe that this is truly a "grass roots movement." But we know better.

So how do the "occupy" movement people of today use the term "occupy?" They want you to think they mean by it that they are just going to only "stay" someplace in protest. But in truth, they use the term as to "take possession" of a place like a private park, and to "possess" it and "hold it" for themselves. In other words, they want to take over public and private places for their own use. And this is what they do. And what do they do with the place once they have it? Well, it's funny you should ask, as in definition #3 above they often times "fill" the place with feces, garbage, refuse, bodily fluids, etc. So much in fact, that they make the place into a disaster area that is hazardous to human health! And the local government then has to come in and clean the place up! This has happened time and again, as their occupying leads to their defiling and contamination of the area they are holding.

Maybe the word "Occupy" isn't the right word for that movement. For they are more than just "staying" there. Rather they are often trespassing there. Hey, maybe we should call it the "Trespassing Movement!" Or with all the reports of people defecating in public and on police cars, maybe we should call it the "Dirty Bowel Movement!"

Whatever you call it, it's interesting that they chose the Bible word "occupy" when Jesus himself used the term in reference to his soon appearing. Does it mean Jesus is coming back soon? Lord I hope so!

Who vs Who?

When our great nation started, there was always debate and opposing views. The Founding Fathers simply did not agree with one another. Thankfully, they compromised enough to make a system of government that worked well enough to govern the masses in a just and honest way for over seventy years. Sadly, that system was changed over time and now we are in a period of time in which that new system doesn't work at all. But that's another blog for another time. Let's stick with the subject I wish to speak about now.

In early American politics, you find that there were those who were always taking sides with a party that they believed closely adhered to their own political views and opinions. And in the early years of the American government, there were a plethora of parties. It used to be some called themselves Federalists, others Whigs, others Libertarians, etc. and etc. So there were many different parties, but the elections always seemed to focus on only two opposing parties.

Eventually, the two biggest parties became those who consistently fought each other in every election. These were the Demoncrats and the Publicans. Whoops, sorry! I spelled those wrong. Let me correct that: They were the DEMOCRATS and REPUBLICANS.

For years the American political system became a two party system in which it was always Democrat vs. Republican. This "you must choose sides" mentality eventually lead to the Civil War. And even after that for over a hundred years, division continued, as everyone knew that in POLITICS, it was only DEMS vs REPS. Sure there might have been some Libertines, Independents, etc., but the two party system usually drowned them out, as senators, congressmen, presidents, etc. were either Democrats or Republicans. These were the ONLY two strong competing parties. And they were separated by their political ideals. (What are those? Well, Ron Paul said it best, and I paraphrase: "Democrats are only interested in WELFARE, while Republicans are only interested in WARFARE.")

Yet in our day, it's hard to tell the difference between modern day Democrats and Republicans. In fact, they both seem to be melding together into one, as they no longer believe differently, but are often coming together to do the same things. (All of which seem to be BAD for the American people). We now have "blue dog" democrats, and "moderate" Republicans. So it's hard to know what a person believes just because they say they are of a certain party.

Still, on all the political radio talk shows and T.V. news forums, all you hear about day and night is Democrat vs. Republican, and you are trained to believe that there really is a difference, and that they really are two distinct DIFFERENT parties. But this is very silly. For we know that oftentimes, most politicians are really "PROGRESSIVES" rather than Dems or Reps. Thus, they use the party name to get elected, but their true political aspirations are to fulfill the PROGRESSIVE AGENDA. (If you don't know what a Progressive is, then you should do a study on it. Right now I shall not go into it, as that's a different blog for a different time.)

So, is American Politics really about Democrats vs. Republicans? I say a resounding, "NO!" It's much more than that. And thankfully, there are some, like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Glenn Beck, who see this, as they portray the American political system as that of LIBERALS vs. CONSERVATIVES. This makes more sense, as there are liberal Democrats, just as there are liberal Republicans. And there are conservative Democrats, just as there are conservative Republicans. So it's more than just DEMS vs. REPS. It's Liberals vs. Conservatives.

It used to be that to be a Democrat was to be a liberal and vice versa, and to be a Republican was to be a Conservative and vice versa. But those days are long gone. So, instead of focusing on Dem. vs. Rep. we need to focus on LIBS. vs. CONS. For this makes much more sense.

What is a liberal and what is a Conservative? That's easy. Just look at the words themselves. A LIBERAL is not someone who desires "LIBERty." Rather they are people who pride themselves upon being liberal with finances. They are liberal with tax payers money, desiring to spend it as quickly as possible. Liberals are usually spendthrifts who are hell bent on mercilessly taxing the populace in order to set up an entitlement society where they desire your vote so they can spend your money. This leads to massive governmental DEBT. And to people becoming dependent upon the government, always looking for a hand out rather than a hand up.

Conservatives, in contrast, focus on CONSERVing money. They desire to lower taxes, lower spending, and conserve money in order to help the economy prosper. In other words, they want to be FRUGAL, and believe that people should not be regulated too much and taxed to death. They should be FREE to work, prosper, and suceed. They should learn to fend for themselves, rather than just wait around for someone to give them something for nothing.

So American politics is not just Republicans vs. Democrats, but is more about Conservatives vs. Liberals.

(Note: One should take note that modern Liberals and Democrats usually favor socialistic, communistic, and anti-captialistic ideals. While modern Conservatives and Republicans usually favor democratic process, capitalism, self-sufficiency, and freedom).

Yet, modern liberals and conservatives are not what they used to be. There are many democrats who claim to be liberal who are not as extreme as most self-proclaimed liberals. This has led to many a modern liberal decrying their elected officals, proclaiming them to not be liberal enough, and not doing enough for their radical liberal agenda. On the opposite extreme there are many "conservatives" who are so far disconnected from the true conservative base, that they claim to be something they are not. They are "moderates" masquerading as Conservative, even though they don't even know what it means to "conserve."

But American politics is about much more than just Rep. vs Dem. and Conservative vs. Liberal. There is much more to it than that. And it's sad that most talk show hosts, T.V. news personalities, and political literature don't pick up on the real battle. What is it? What is the modern political process and who is on either side?

That's easy to answer. So easy, that's it hard to believe that people just don't get it. The true policital battle in American is between these two groups...

It's about the SANE vs. the INSANE! That's right, I said it! We no longer can go by whether a person says they are Democrat or Republican or Liberal or Conservative. Instead we must look at his or her thought patterns. And we must listen to his or her own words. For Washington is full of CRAZIES! That is it's full of people who are NOT CONNECTED TO REALITY! (Usually these people are elected officials).

So to pick a canidate for congress, senate, the white house, etc. We need look for a person who is SANE, and can do something that most politicans can not: T-H-I-N-K!

We live in a world full of insanity. The old Evangelist Lester Roloff said it best, "America is an insane asylum run by the inmates!"

This is so true. We live in a country where our leaders say things like, "We have to, er, pass the bill, in order to, um, know what's in the bill..." (I paraphrase, but the original quote was not that far off!).

We live in a country where citizens are not equal according to the law. Politicians have passed laws without even READING THEM, allowing special rights to special GROUPS, GENDERS, and CORPORATIONS, while treating the rest of us like cattle.

For example, they passed the new Health Care law, forcing us to BUY healthcare insurance, but congress itself chose not to enroll in the same program. Why is this? What's good for the goose is good for the gander, right? Why would they MAKE us take it, but they aren't willing to take it for themselves?

Next, we are told that it's the government's job to "spread the wealth" and that since our economy is so bad, they must just "jumpstart it." How? BY SPENDING OUR WAY OUT OF DEBT! What? It's mentally INSANE!!! (...Insane in the membrane, insane in the brain...).

Then we are told that the problem with the country are the BIG CORPORATIONS and the BIG BANKS who are too GREEDY and who are guilty of stealing all our money. So what does the government do to fix this? The most logical thing: THEY BAILOUT THE BIG CORPORATIONS AND BANKS AND GIVE THEM TRILLONS OF DOLLARS! What? What a minute. That's not logical. That doesn't even make sense? That's not right!

I could go on and on. Washington D.C. has a history of doing things that don't make any sense at all whatsoever. Their policies and laws are costly, counter productive, and often harmful to others.

When a person does something insane and harms himself and others, then he's usually committed to an insane asylum. It's because he's a THREAT to himself and others. Need I say more?

We live in an age in which there are countless INSANE people running amuck. Many of them are hyped up on prescription drugs and are capable of doing harmful acts to themselves and others under the influence of these pharmacuticals. We are also seeing a great amassing of a movement of VIOLENCE as well as huge hordes of flash mobs who are traveling throughout the country looting and stealing. We futher have "the occupy movement" of crazy homeless people running around claiming they are the 99%, and who, with hatred in their heart, decry the "1%". Who are the 1%? They don't even know! Yet they want "CHANGE." Meanwhile they are taking drugs, and having sex in public places while defecating on police cars. That's not the actions of SANE people! Maybe they should change their own HABITS, and then maybe they would be able to do better for themselves.

Michelle Obama said a few years ago, "For the first time in my life, I'm proud of my country." And of course, the liberal propoganda media didn't say anything about it.

But I'm to the point of saying myself, "For the first time in my life, I'm actually SCARED of my own country!" For I'm afraid of what's going on in Washington, in the big cities with the occupy movements and flash mobs, and in the rest of the nation with the great increase of robberies, larceny, and theft.

So what is politics in America all about? Who's on either side? We are taught by the liberal news media that it's just the Dems. vs. the Reps. and we are taught to vote accepting one of those two sides to fix all the problems with the nation. However, there isn't much different between either one, and one thing is for sure, THEY'VE PROVEN THAT NEITHER ONE OF THEM KNOWS HOW TO FIX THINGS, ONLY DESTROY THINGS!

So do we vote rather for Conservatives vs. Liberals? No, as Conservatives aren't really conservative (or not conservative enough), and liberals aren't liberal, they are usually nothing more than RADICALS who desire only to overthrow the system itself and start their own social utopia.

That leaves us with voting in elections not for party or principle, but rather choosing the person that's the least INSANE of the two. And how do we know? How can you really know if a guy or a gal is SANE?

It's hard to know a person without listening to their own words. But anyone can lie. Even the most insane person in the world can be a good speaker and debater, and can be very convincing in telling you that he's really Abraham Lincoln or Teddy Roosevelt. But he's NUTS!!!

So then, we must also look at his works. What is he doing, why is he doing it? That's a good thing to look at in order to decide which canidate is the best. But sadly they all seem to be the same. They all have a degree of insanity!

What do we do? That's a good question. For me, I'm just going to stay away from it all and trust the Lord. I'm not looking for a Republican or a Conservative to come and fix everything. As a Christian, I'm waiting for my Lord and Saviour to come back and take me out of this mess at the rapture. The sooner the better. But until then, I'll learn to live with and tolerate the insane people I have to deal with every day. I'll just look at them as what they are: poor little slow people who need help, because they can't think straight. And I'll do what I can to show them the error of their ways (which are many), even though I know they won't listen to me. Or if they do, I understand that it will never get through to their tiny little brains that what they believe and what they do is completely C-R-A-Z-Y!

God help us, and God bless America, especially in spite of its insanity!

THE GREAT BIG LIES ABOUT CHRISTMAS!

My wife and I aren't very crazy about Christ-mass. We see it for what it is. It's a holiday set up by BIG RELIGION, with many pagan practices, and it has been turned into a holiday set up by BIG BUSINESS who seeks to bilk people out of their money. Further, it has evolved over the years into more of a SECULAR season rather than a CHRISTIAN rememberance. And for this reason, my wife and I desire not to get caught up in the clap trap.

We are not all "Bah-Humbug" however. Nor are we "Puritans" who openly preach against others who celebrate the Holiday. Our attitude is to take the verse of scripture which states: "He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks." (Rom. 14:6).

In other words, if someone regards the day unto the Lord, then they can do so. As for us, we desire not to. It's their business, and what they do is fine with us. We just ask that they don't push themselves and their beliefs on us and we won't push ourselves on them.

But that's where the problem comes in. The whole world DOES push itself and its beliefs on us! And by so doing, they must LIE to us. It's almost like they are only interested in getting us to believe their lies. But this is something we cannot do.

LIE #1 ABOUT CHRISTMAS

First of all, the word "Christmas" is a made up term. It comes from the melding of two words: "Christ" and "mass." In other words, it is a made up invented CATHOLIC term.

I can celebrate Christ's birth (and I do), but I myself cannot celebrate the "mass." For I'm not Catholic. (Nor am I Protestant. I'm just a Bible Believer). Yet, the whole world wants to use the term, and wants us to use it as well. Why can't we just call it, "Christ's birth day?" Oh, yeah, that would bring us to lie number two!

LIE #2 ABOUT CHRISTMAS

Christ-mass is celebrated on December 25th. Most people claim it is because that was when our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was born. But was he really born on the 25th of December? Was he even born in December? No, the date of December 25th was in ancient times the date of the birth of the pagan God Saturn or Saturnelius (i.e. Nimrod the mighty hunter). And it was THE POPE of ROME who decided to set the date of December 25th as the date that all Christiandom should use to celebrate the Lord's birth.

So when was Jesus really born? That is easy. It was around September. Some state more specifically that it was around the 15th to the 25th of that month. ( I personally think it's around the 21st, when the SUN (i.e. S-O-N) is closest to the EARTH.). There are many ways to prove this, but just read your Bible. No shepherds would be in the fields in December. But they would be in September.

So let's get this straight. December 25th was a date set by the CATHOLIC POPE in which he damanded that we should celebrate the CHRIST MASS. In other words, he's dictating to us what we should do and when we should do it. That would be like me saying, "I believe it is September 21st, and you must celebrate it then only!" Who would listen to me? Nobody.

So why listen to the Pope and his made up day? And how can you be a Bible-Believer and still celebrate the Lord's birth on a day when you know that's not the day he was born? It was the day PAGANS used to celebrate their own god's birth day?

LIE #3 ABOUT CHRISTMAS

Now on to our next lie about Christmass. It's common this time of year to see a manger with the baby Jesus in it. You see them every where, in people's yards, at churches, etc. But is that a Biblical scene? Did the wise man really come to the MANGER and see the baby Jesus? The answer is a resounding, "NO!" In the scriptures, we read that the wise men showed up later. And they didn't show up at the manger. They showed up somewhere else. Someone has twisted the scriptures to their own destruction. So though it's a beautiful scene to remind us of Christ's birth, it's also a great big LIE to show the three wise men there. It took them longer to reach Christ Jesus, maybe even up to two years later.

LIE #4 ABOUT CHRISTMAS

Now I'm going to look at the Christmass Tree. Why is it that people put up such a thing in their house? Who started it? And why do we exchange gifts? Well, if you listen to what many a "Christian" says about it, they say it's a wonderful example of Jesus, as it's an "evergreen" tree, and Jesus is ever alive, having resurrected from the dead. (Why then does the tree die a few months later???)

But where does the tree come from. If you study the Bible as well as pagan history, you find it has it's roots in the practice of the HEATHEN. Why, Jeremiah even tells us about it in chapter ten of his book:

" 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 10:5 They are upright as the palm tree..."

Sounds a lot like the modern practice of erecting a Christ-mass tree, doesn't it? So why would a person who claims to be a Christian want to do something that the HEATHEN have done for thousands of years? Doesn't sound like it has much to do with Jesus, does it?

LIE #5 ABOUT CHRISTMAS

This lie is that of the teaching about a man named "SAINT NICK" or "SANTA CLAUS." Every year, we are told of a man who lives in the North Pole who dresses in Red, and who travels around the world on Christmass Eve to give presents to all the good little boys and girls. But do you really believe that story? I don't!

Yet it never ceases to amaze me how parents are so willing to LIE to their children and try to convince them that he really does exist. Just like the easter bunny and the tooth fairy, parents are willing to lie to their children and make them believe in something that is not real! Why is this? The thought of me lying to my children sickens me and makes me feel like a rotten person. So how could I feel good about lying to my children about Santa? (By the way, rearrange the letters of SANTA, and you get S-A-T-A-N. Could it be that he's the one behind this lie? Especially when Santa gets all the characteristics of Jesus, which are omiscient, omnipresence, and omnipotence.)

It's gotten so bad, that I even hate to go out around Christmas time. For people all the time ask my daughter, "Are you ready for Santa to come and visit you?" I get so angry. For how could they perpetuate the LIE that there a man named Santa?

LIE #6 ABOUT CHRISTMAS

The next lie about Christmas is most likely the worst. For we are told we need to have the Christmass "Spirit." (Which spirit is that?) We are also told that it's the time of year to give gifts, spread cheer, and "be jolly." (But, It's almost like they are saying, "Only do that during the Christmas season, the rest of the year you can do whatever you want). Are we only supposed to be nice during the end of the year? Shouldn't we be nice the rest of the year too?

Only being nice on CHristmas, but living like the devil or uncle scrooge the rest of the year is like telling a person that it's okay to do evil, as long as they do some good later to atone for it. This is WRONG!!!

I also greatly dislike people saying, "Jesus is the reason for the season." Although this is true, and I agree with the statement, I find that these same people often commemorate other things that have nothing to do with Jesus whatsoever! How can they say Jesus is the reason for the season, and then forget Jesus completely during the Christmas season?

Christmas should be all about celebrating the BIRTH of our Saviour, and to many Christians it is. But notice what this leaves out. What about his DEATH for our sins? This is completely overlooked and forgotten! Why do we remember his birth if we forget the reason he was born? Jesus was born to DIE. And, why do we remember Jesus just one day out of the year? Why can't we celebrate Christ's death, burial, and resurrection all year long? And why can't we remember his birth for what it was, MIRACULOUS!" He was born of a virgin by the power of the Holy Spirit. That should be the only "Spirit" spoken about during Christmas. Instead, we are given this gas about having "Christmas spirit." What is that? Could it be an unclean spirit? Usually it is, as to most people, Christmas is only about greed, i.e. "getting presents for themselves."

LIE #7 ABOUT CHRISTMAS

I've heard people say, "It's un-American and un-Christian to not celebrate Christmas." And you've probably heard that too. But is it really? In light of history, that statement doesn't even make sense. For in England and America, Christ-Mass was outlawed for many a year by both Puritans and Protestants, (and even BAPTISTS) . It was because true "Bible-Believers" knew the pagan heritage and the catholic influence of that holiday. They chose not to celebrate it because they knew it was full of lies and errors.

In fact, the celebration of Christ-mass in America was outlawed until about 1840 something, when Alabama was the first state to allow the celebration of that holiday. (And when it did, there was a great outrage among Christians, who were very much against that CATHOLIC holiday). It wasn't really until the early 1900's that Christmas caught on nation-wide, and even protestants began adopting it.

So to say that not celebrating "Christmas" is un-American and un-Christian is not true at all. It's only really been the last 100 years that that holiday has even been celebrated in our country. For our founding fathers knew better.

SUMMARY

So Christ-mass is a holiday full of lies. You are lied to about its true date, about its orgin, about its history, its practices, and especially about the old fat man in red. (In case you don't know, HE'S NOT REAL!!!). Yet, the world tries to pressure you into accepting it all whole-heartedly, especially when it comes to LYING to your children. But should you?

I'm an Independent Baptist. My denomination is known for their being, hmm, what's the word: DOGMATIC about their beliefs, and they are usually very vocal when someone believes something that isn't Biblical. They especially cry aloud against many a Catholic doctrine that doesn't line up with the Scriptures. However, they all seem to be suspiciously quiet when it comes to the celebration of Christmas. They are now even putting Christmas trees in their churches, and allowing men dressed up like Santa to come and distribute gifts to the children. Further they watch the world's movies about the "Christmas Spirit" and get caught up with the claptrap involved with the world's view of the holiday. But why? Why do they help propogate the lie? Especially when their forefathers were very much against the pagan, catholic, heathen practices involved with Christmas?

I don't know, and I don't have the answer. All I know is that to me, Christ-mass is not something I'm too crazy about. And it greatly vexes my spirit to see what modern "Christ-mass" has become. For us, we remember Christ being born, and that's it. We don't desire to practice nor partake of any of the other rituals of that holiday. And we don't.

Now, if you buy me a gift, I'm not going to send it back. I like gifts. It's always nice to get something from somebody. But I don't expect a lump of coal in my socks if I don't get someone something in return. In fact, I try to give gifts year round, not just on Christmas.

So, once again, let me reiterate. I'm not telling you to celebrate Christmas, nor am I telling you not to. I only hope you'll see through the many lies of that holiday and learn how in good conscience to stop LYING to your kids and family. For the entire holiday of "CHRIST-MASS" sits on a throne of lies. It's full of paganism and catholicsm. And if you truly want to celebrate Christ's birth, then you need to put HIM first. How? The best way is to simply read the scriptures together. Go through the passages which speak of Christ Jesus coming to earth to be born of a virgin. And remember what JESUS did for you here on earth, when he suffered, bleed, and died on the cross for your sins.

Note: Years ago I read a book entitled, "THE TWO BABYLONS." After having read that book, I could no longer celebrate "Christ-mass" in good conscience, as I learned more about its foundations, and origins of its pagan practices. I recommend this book to anyone who's interested in learning the TRUTH about this thing called CHRIST-MASS. But be warned. It will sicken you to see the pagan foundations of the modern Christmas practices. For they are rooted in paganism, heathenism, catholicsm, and even the occult. There really is a "spirit" of Christmass, but it's not God's spirit. It's the spirit of error.

What happened to old glory?

The United States of America's national flag used to mean something. I was even referred to as "OLD GLORY" by the nation, for the great national pride that Americans once had for their country and what it stood for. It was a flag that was the symbol of freedom to the rest of the world, as it marked one of the very few FREE nations left in the world. But that freedom was not cheap. It cost the blood of many a citizen in many different wars who bought and purchased our freedom.

But in the day in which we live today, there is a great apathy toward the American flag, and even American citizens don't love your as much as their forefathers did. Why is this?

The answer is because of the modern world-wide push for "globalism," national pride is giving way to international unity. And because communism, global governance, and socialistic practices are taught to students in our American universities, the U.S. flag has lost it's meaning to so many of the newer generations of Americans. They not only disrespect the flag, but often times they despise it and what it stands for. Why is this?

First, let's look at what the flag stands for. (This will show us what they are actually standing against).

The flag, as you know, has three colors: Red, White, and Blue. These colors signified different things. RED reprenents the blood that was shed for this nation and for the freedoms that the citizens enjoy. WHITE signifes purity, as the U.S. used to pride itself on being a Christian nation, which believed in and practiced the ideals and teachings of the scriptures. BLUE is the color of heaven, and most Americans looked at the United States as a little bit of "heaven on earth," as it was one of the richest and most powerful nations the world has ever seen, and one could work hard and get ahead. They could actually have the freedom to pursue "happiness." In other words they could live their lives as they wished, do what they wanted, and ENJOY the fruits of their labors.

But what happened??? Does old glory really stand for these things today? Do people look at the flag and think that still? Does that banner really stand for what it used to?

Sadly, Americans of today are very disconnected from their national heritage. And because of the utter apostasy of these last days, the wide-spread political corruption, and the rampant degeneration of most of American's morals, old glory does not represent what America used to be.

America is no longer a nation of freedom. It used to be a nation of LIBERTY, bought with the blood of its citizens. But those liberties are quickly eroding away. We no longer live in a nation of pure liberty, rather of much governmental control. And a Washington continues it's policies, we lose more and more liberty.

Take the Health Care Bill for example, in which the gv'ment forces people to buy health care insurance whether they want it or not. How are we free when things are FORCED upon us?

Take the national debt too. At date, the U.S. government is over 15 TRILLION dollars in debt (NOTE: There's not even that much money in the whole world economy!!!) And who does the gv'ment claim owes that money? The American citizen! That means if you divide the debt by every American citizen, each one is liable fo 174,000 dollars plus! How does this make us free? We aren't free. We are born into debt!

It's just ridiculous!

America is no longer a nation of PURITY. It used to be the most moral country in the world. But with the onset of German Rationalism, Modern Scholarship, new age Bibles, evolution, and more, Americans quickly became a nation of unbelievers. They then became a nation of degenerate sinners, who fornicate, masturbate, adulterate, smoke, get drunk, lie, steal, cheat, etc. (And that's just the politicians!) The worst part is they don't even feel bad about it!

America is no longer a piece of HEAVEN on earth. For America has became a devestated nation. Storms, tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, droughts, and other natural disasters have destroyed many lives. Politician's misuse of American funds have ruined the economy, and jobs are few and far between. Welfare has taken away many people's desire to work, and they have become completely dependent rather than self-sufficient. Crime is more rampant than ever as murder and theft are on the rise.

In short, our country is not the best place in the world to live. It's more like HELL, than heaven.

So, whatever happened to old glory? Well, she still flies on many a government building, school, business, and private dwelling place. But how sad she must be, as what she's supposed to represent has been trampled upon by her citizens and her leaders. How she must cry to see that what her colors boldly shine forth no longer can be found in the land.

Freedom is less and less, purity can scarcely be found, and your own little piece of heaven in this country is getting harder and harder to find.

The Foes of America

Over the years, the United States of America has had many enemies. In the beginning, the enemies were "religious" as America was founded by a group of people who came to this nation fleeing religious persecution (the Pilgrims). These people were ridiculed, chastized, and even put to death for nothing more than wishing to practice their religion without hinderance, governance, or punishment from outside circles.

After America grew and became a stable nation, it had to sever itself from England, who wanted only to tax it into oblivion and plunder its wealth. A Revolutionary War ensued, and rightly so, as the King of England through TYRANNICAL means tried to subdue the American people and take away their God-given right to govern themselves.

Later, America fought another war with Britian, one which Historians can't quite figure out what it was about. If you follow the money trail, you'll see without question it was about Economic governance on the American people, as the BANK OF ENGLAND wanted to continue being set up as the national bank of America. True Americans saw the potential hazards in this, and the Bank of England's charter was revolked.

As America grew, sometimes the enemy was the American Indian, which often was a sad tail of indians murdering American citizens, and American soldiers massacring them in return. It was a sad tail of a removal and repopluation of the native people of this soil by a government who deemed them as "undesirables."

Eventually, a "Civil War" raged, and the North labeled the South as "Rebels" for desiring to leave the union. What was their crime? Wanting to follow the constitution in legally seceeding in order to govern themselves and to keep from paying the outrageous tarriffs forced upon them by the North. Of course the South lost the war, and to this day, we are taught that they were the bad guys because they were slave owners. Yet if you look at the whole picture, that war only helped to enslave the populace to a new born federal system which sought to take away their fundamental rights (like writ of habeus corpus) and force them into military service (through a draft), and a horrible "carpet bagger" government was set up on the South, with corruption running rampant, and injustice everywhere.

Later America fought against Spain. And then America got involved in the first World War. These were examples of times in which America left their own country to fight foes in other nations. But America at first would never fight in other nations. She only wished to defend herself. (See the Monroe Doctrine for more on that).

Under the teaching of "Manifest Destiny" America fought in a second World War. It's enemies were the Japenese Imperialist Army and the Nazi Party of Germany. These two cruel governing bodies were full of injustice and their hands red with blood from murdering countless millions of people. Knowing right from wrong, Americans looked at such atrocity and fought willfully against such nations, believing that every human being had a fundamental right to FREEDOM.

Next ensued a "COLD WAR" against Russia, in which Russians were looked upon as "evil" for their system of government is completely opposite of a free society, for Communism leaves out GOD, the BIBLE, and MAN'S RIGHT to freedom of conscience, religion, and practice.

For years, the American people looked at Communist Russia as their greatest enemy, but then the Berlin Wall fell, and eventually, Communism was crushed.

So who was left as America's foe? Americans continued to look at Communism as the bad guys, and a "conflict" (not a war) was fought in Vietnam and then in Korea.

Eventually, China became the new boogey-man with it's increasingly large army and its complete disregard for the basic civil rights of its people.

But then 9/11 came, and the enemy was radical Islam, and militant Muslims who on their "Jihad" sought to kill as many Christians and Jews as possible on their quest to Paradise. And for some unknown reason, America went to war in Afghanistan and Iraq. (I say "unknown" because it's still not clear why we invaded those countries. The excuse was there were "Weapons of Mass Destruction" in Iraq, but they were never found. And no one knows why we went to Afghanistan. The official report was there were "Taliban" and "Al Qaeda" there and we were looking for Bin Laden, but it turned out he wasn't there, he was hiding in PAKISTAN!)

So who are today's foes? Who is America's enemy now? When the nation started, the enemy was within the gates. British troops came to America and occupied our soil. But we kicked them out, not once, but twice (the second time being the War of 1812). After that a war ensued in 1861-1864, and this too was within our own borders. But from then on, all our foes were WITHOUT the country in lands far away.

But now we find that there are once again foes within our own borders again. Who are they? They are domestic terrorists who seek to undermine and overthrow our government, our society, and our spirituality. These are RADICALS who belong to groups who hate our country and our ideals, and who want to enforce their own regulations on the American people.

Who are they? They are people who adamantly adhere to one or all of the following systems:

1. Communism

2. Socialism

3. Militant Islam

All of these are old foes of America, and we have fought wars against all of them. This being Veteran's day we remember our fallen and we thank them for their service in protecting us from these radical ideals which seek to take away man's freedom Yet, today we find these three failed systems still seeking to attack us. But instead of being outside trying to get in, they are already inside working to destroy us from within.

Joseph Stalin once said, "America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."

How true is this statement! Yet so very few Americans seem to realize the battle within our nation for the minds of the people, and how RADICALS in American are already attacking these three things!

Patriotism is America will soon be dead, for children are no longer taught to love their nation, rather to love their planet. They are taught to be "GLOBALISTS" rather than "CITIZENS," and there are countless groups today which are pushing for a one world order under a single global government. Many of our politicians are even members of these groups, working to take America down and making it a providence of the Global Nation.

Morality is in decline in America with more and more giving into their basest most degenerate desires. They fornicate, adulterate, lie, cheat, steal, and even murder others. Crime is on the increase, and so are sexual transmitted diseases, children born out of wedlock, and divorce. People are no longer moral, guided by simple principles of holy living, rather they enjoy the macabre and dark things of life, like horror shows, heavy metal music, Gothic culture, vampirism, etc.

Finally, Spirituality in America has gone to pot. It used to be there was many a praying mother who raised their children right and taught them to follow the ways of God and the Bible. But in our nation we have countless thousands of people who from an early age have been taught to deny Creationism and embrace Evolution. They are further instructed to "know themselves" and "experiment" with their bodies, all while leaving God out of their lives. This leads to a multitude of sins and makes man CARNAL rather than SPIRITUAL.

If we listen to the quote given above by Joseph Stalin, then America is on the verge of collapse. And who is behind the destruction of our country? It is RADICALS who seek to dethrone God, teach immoral practices, and hate spirituality unless it be something to do with "seducing spirits and doctrines of devils."

Who are the Foes of America? They are Communism, which seeks to get rid of God, Facism or Socialism, which desires to make all men equal and throw out man's moral code, and Radical Islam, which seeks to force man to "submit" (the word Islam means submission) to it's form of spirituality, instead of having the freedom of conscience to follow the religion of their own choosing.

Will America fall? That depends entirely upon you. Are you a RADICAL? If so, you are the problem with America. You are the reason the country is the way it is, and your principles are destroying this once great nation!

If you aren't a Radical, and you are just a typical American who loves freedom, then let me ask, "Are you going to let them win?" One thing about freedom is that it's never free. It cost something. Countless millions of Americans have died to keep this nation free. What are you willing to do for your freedom?

The enemy is amassing and they have "organized" their forces. What can we do? We should organize as well. We should vote, start our own political parties (like the tea part), and have our voice heard!

Long live America, long live Freedom!

With this in mind, let me close by stating who is in cahoots with the modern day foe of America that is destroying our nation from within. The following are just a few of the many different organizations, societies, institutions, and bodies of people who are a part of the conspiracy to destroy our great nation.

The News Media is without a doubt a part of the problem. It's clear as a bell to see the liberal bias in modern journalism. You can't miss it. But where did they learn it from?

Secular Colleges and Universities of today are to blame. Most of them have been infiltrated by radicals who embrace communistic ideals and endoctrinate their students with its teachings. And through "tenure" they have found a way to keep their influence without every worrying about being fired or thrown out. But who lets this happen?

Politicians in our land are often to blame for the continued support of modern universities, as they come from those institutions and give governmental grants to those same organizations in order to indoctrine our children to believe in socialists policies. So who's behind those politicians?

Political Groups are the driving force behind many politicians elections. Organizations like Acorn, SEIU, and others work hard to get certain key figures into positions of power in order to propogate their ideals. But who fund them?

Idealistic Liberal Foundations work behind the political groups funding their endeavours. Groups like MoveOn.org, The Center for American Progress, and others work to forward their socialistic, communist agenda. Who funds them? Men like George Soros, of course, who seeks to profit off of the destruction.

So there you have it. We've looked at the ancient foes of America, her foreign foes, and now her modern enemies who seem to be nothing more than the same foes she's fought in foreign wars, only now they are within the country working within the system to bring her down.

There has never been a nation in the history of the earth as great as America. And there never will be. If America is destroyed, it will lead to the complete destruction of the entire world, and the loss of freedom worldwide.

The Most Important Fundamental

I get a lot of stuff in the mail. One thing I get is a lot of Independent Baptist Magazines and Newspapers, and I read them. They help me stay informed with what's happening in the Independent Baptist Fundamentalist movement. (Sadly, I see them going downhill with much man worship, pride, and the love of fame, money, and power).

In the latest magazine I received, there was an article about what exactly Fundamentalism is. The writer defined it not only from the Dictionary, but also from what he personally believed it to be. But all of those who defend the "Fundamentals" of the Christian Faith and "Fundamentalism" all seem to leave out the most important of all the FUNDAMENTALS of the Christian Faith, and that is the BLOOD ATONEMENT OF JESUS CHRIST!

All the books, magazines, tracts, pamphlets, etc. put out by "fundamentalist" Christians who claim to be "Fundamentalists" all seem to leave out the most important of all the Christian Fundamentals. Oh, they claim to believe that salvation is by faith alone, but faith in what??? They never say!

They also claim to believe that it took God's blood being shed to pay for man's sins, but even the Devil knows that! Where is their definitive statement on believing that a sinner must TRUST completely and solely in the shed BLOOD ATONEMENT of Jesus Christ? It's not there.

All throughout the Bible, we read that God only forgives man's sin through blood atonement. Even before the law, God demanded a blood sacrifice from sinners. This is why Adam, Abel, Seth, Noah, Enoch, Job, Abraham, Issac, Jacob, etc., all offered up animal sacrifices of blood to God for the forgiveness of their sins. It's because God demands BLOOD for payment for sin.

Later, God used Moses to write the law, and in the law God told the people how to bring a blood sacrifice to the Lord. We read of how in Leviticus chapter 1:

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the LORD, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock.

3 If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.

4 And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

5 And he shall kill the bullock before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall bring the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

6 And he shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into his pieces.

7 And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire:

8 And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:

9 But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.

10 And if his offering be of the flocks, namely, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he shall bring it a male without blemish.

A sinner was to KILL the sacrifice himself. But that wasn't all. He was to put his hand on the head of the animal, signifying it was for HIM and in HIS PLACE for HIS SINS. And it was the BLOOD that the priests collected and offered up to God for the man.

This is why we read this is Heb. 9:22, "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission."

God only remits sins (or forgives them) through SHED BLOOD!

But the shed blood was not all there was to it. The Sinner also had to have faith. And what was the Sinner's faith in? It was in THE BLOOD!

A Sinner who sinned against God and wanted forgiveness of his sins knew that the only way to make peace with God and to have his sins remitted was through making a SHED BLOOD ATONEMENT. But he not only had to do that himself, he also had to TRUST that it was sufficient, for it was exactly what God demanded of him. In other words, HIS FAITH WAS IN THE BLOOD!

Now, when Jesus showed up and lived 33 years under the law, he never made a sacrifice for himself. He didn't have too. He was sinless.

Yet Jesus himself became the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of all mankind himself when he died on the cross of Calvary, shedding his own blood (God's blood, according to Acts 20:28) to pay for man's sins.

Jesus Christ was THE LAMB OF GOD, and the FINAL SACRIFICIAL BLOOD SACRIFICE for the sins of the world. What Jesus did was sufficient to forgive man all their sins. But what's lacking? Is the entire world already forgiven because Jesus did that?

No, something is lacking. And that something is FAITH in that finished work. That is specifically, FAITH IN THE SHED BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST!

Romans 3:25 makes it so clear when it states of Jesus, "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation [a substitutionary blood atonement] THROUGH FAITH IN HIS BLOOD, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God."

Notice that the word of God says that Jesus will only be declared righteous and can only be your propitiation when your FAITH is in his precious shed BLOOD!

It's that simple. Salvation has always been in the Bible through faith in a blood atonement made on the Sinner's behalf. In the Old Testament, it was faith in the shed blood of an animal, usually a lamb. In the New Testament, it is through faith alone in the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

This is sound Biblical doctrine! Yet today it is often ommitted and yeah even mocked frequently, even by those who call themselves "Fundamentalists."

Why would they leave out the most important of all Fundamentals of the Christian Faith, that of trusting upon a BLOOD ATONEMENT for the forgiveness of sins?

Many Christians today don't preach the blood, or a Sinner's need for reliance upon the blood of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins. Instead, they are guilty of preaching a "BLOODLESS GOSPEL," of which there are many. They go something like this:

Just make a decision to follow Christ.

Just turn your life over to God.

Just Ask God to forgive your sins, begging and pleading him to do so.

Just Ask Jesus into your heart and/or life

Just make a commitment to Jesus

All of these things might sound good to the ears of the hearer, but they are not "Fundamental" in nature, nor are they Biblical, for they all do the same thing, THEY ALL LEAVE OUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST!

This is why it bothers me so much to hear people bragging on being "Fundamentalists" and then writting down their little creeds, doctrinal statements, and lists of what they believe the Fundamentals really are, but then they leave out FAITH IN THE BLOOD altogether!

Could it be they really aren't all that Fundamental? Could it be they might even be LOST, because they haven't even gotten the most basic of the Fundamentals right, that of salvation only through FAITH in a BLOOD ATONEMENT?

I believe there is a great problem in "Fundamentalism," "Christianity," "Evangelicalism" and "the Independent Baptist Movement" today. I believe they all consistently leave out the most important of all the Christian Fundamentals, and that is the simple basic doctrine of YOU MUST TRUST THE BLOOD ATONEMENT OF JESUS CHRIST IN ORDER TO BE TRULY BORN AGAIN.

This, as harrowing, horrible, and unbelievable as this might seem, means that there are Pastors, Missionaries, Evangelists, Deacons, Church Members, Sunday School Teachers, and even Bus Captians in our churches today who are not saved! They brag upon being Fundamentalists, but they have left out the most important of all the Fundamentals, RESTING IN THE FINISHED WORK OF JESUS CHRIST ALONE, TRUSTING ONLY HIS SHED BLOOD FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF THEIR SINS.

I have met such people. It's easy to spot them. All you have to do is ask them their testimony. If they say they "DID" something, and they leave out trusting the blood atonement for salvation, then they are lost. It's sad, but true. And our churches are full of such people. When you ask them for their testimony, they usually say things like: "Well, I asked God to save me, and I don't know if he did or not, so I just ask him again every night just to be sure."

This is NOT salvation! For a person like this has no assurance of salvation. They don't know they are saved, they only hope they are. And they are NOT trusting in the blood atonement of Christ, for if they were, they would not for sure that their sins are forgiven.

IN these last days in which the Bible calls days of apostasy well shall see more and more of this BLOODLESS GOSPEL. And it's so sad, because it ought not so to be.

What bothers me is that there are so few who preach the right Gospel (of 1 Cor. 15:1-4), that of salvation by FAITH in the blood atonement. Instead, many today are preaching the Beggar's Gospel of just ask Jesus into your heart, or beg his forgiveness, or make a commitment to him, etc. But, why would God save anyone outside of man's faith in HIS BLOOD ATONEMENT ON CALVARY??? It just doesn't make any sense.

God help us.

In the mean time, you there reading this blog. Let me ask you this: "Are you saved? How'd you get saved?"

Now let me ask you this also, "When did you trust the Blood of Jesus Christ alone to save your soul and forgive you of all your sins?"

Time is short. Jesus is coming soon. If you really are a "fundamentalist," then why are you leaving out the most important of all Fundamentals; that of FAITH ALONE IN THE SACRIFICIAL BLOOD ATONEMENT of Jesus Christ?

How to Stop Terrorism

It's amazing to me how blind people can be to the truth and to history. People clearly see the problems in the world today, but they just can't seem to figure out what caused them. And rather than get to the root of the matter and fix it, they only focus on stop gap measures to fix the symptoms of the problem, rather than to seek to cure the disease.

One of the greatest problems in the world today is that of Muslim Extremist Terrorism. On their holy "Jihad" there are countless hundreds of thousands of extremists who desire to kill others. Who do they seek to kill? They desire to kill three groups of people: 1. JEWS, 2. AMERICANS, and 3. CHRISTIANS.

This is sad, and it proves that Islam is not a religion of love (like Christianity is), rather a religion of spite and anger. For it is that religion that harbors anger against others and compels it's followers to KILL other people.

We all know this is a problem. But what is the solution? For some, the solution is to do nothing, and to just tolerate Islam and pretend like there is no problem at all. Such people are not connected to reality, for their is a problem, and Muslim extremism is violent.

Others, think we should go to the opposite extreme and have nothing to do with Islam and stamp it out completely, not allowing that religion in any form. But in America, this will not work, for the constitution of the United States allows religious freedom for any religion. So this is not a possibility.

So what needs to be done? How do we stop violent militant Muslim terrorism?

Rather than deal with the problem, let's first look at what caused the problem, for we find the causes of the problem are three fold.

1. Our lack of closing the border has allowed terrorists to enter our gates.

I just read an article a few days ago about a "terrorist" who entered into our country via the Mexican border. How did he get here? He just walked across the article says. This means the lack of defending our borders has lead to the increase of terrorist types entering our country. But illegal entry isn't the only way they enter in. They also are allowed to come in legally. That's right there are countless thousands of people in America who are Muslim extremists who have entered our borders through legal means. And, they have hid the fact that they are extremists, and used our laws of "religious freedom" to enter into our country and then set up their own schools and mosques, in which they teach hatred towards America and Americans, and where they plot to overthrow our country, kill our populace, and set up their own repressive Sharia law. Who's fault is this? It's the gv'ment's fault for allowing these people to come into our land.

So how do we fix this problem? Simple. In fact, it's so simple, it's hard to believe that politicians can't see it. All we need to do is close our borders to foreign citizens of muslim extremist nations. And, we need to prohibit citizenship to people from Saudia Arabia, Afghanistan, Iran, etc. We further should allow "racial profiling" (no matter how much the liberals hate it), just like Israel does, in order to make sure that people who enter our borders are not hatemongers bent on destroying our nation.

2. The CIA has caused this problem of Terrorism, but their shinnanagins in foreign lands.

Many people don't realize that it was the CIA that started Al-queda. And it was the CIA that has been in many different countries throughout the years causing civil unrest as it has been active in setting up its own leaders in foreign nations to forward its own agenda. But why were they doing that, especially when they did it in secret and not according to the will of the American people? In fact, if you study the history of the CIA, you'll find an organization that has a legacy of taking tax payer's money for projects that are so top secret, not even the President of the United States of America knew about it. With their "black budgets" the CIA has done things that are even still TOP SECRET today! That means we still don't know what they did, where they did it, and how they spent our taxpayers dollars!

It's for this reason that America is hated by many a middle eastern country today. It's because the CIA has done things to them. Now you must realize, it was not the United States of America that did it to them. No, it was a secret agency carefully hidden without the beauracracy of the American government which had complete autonomy to do whatever it pleased.

However, the terrorists don't see it this way, and they blame all Americans for their troubles. So, instead of waging jihad on the CIA, they wage it on you and me.

What ever happened to the Monroe doctrine? It was the official policy of the United States under James Monroe. He basically said to the world, "You do what you want in your country and we'll do what we want in our country. You leave us alone, we'll leave you alone! Cause we only want to work in our own nation!"

I love the Monroe doctrine, and always felt that was the right policy for America! We should focus on our country, our people, our economy, our resources, etc. We shouldn't be in Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudia Arabia, etc. We shouldn't be spreading ourselves thin in other countries like Germany and Cuba (Guantanamo Bay). Our troops should be on OUR BORDER rather than within the BORDERS of other nations.

One thing I can never understand is when people who have been in or are in our military in a FOREIGN COUNTRY say they are "defending our freedom." How can you defend us, our country, and our freedoms, when you aren't even in our country? How is being in another nation defending our freedom? Isn't it offense instead of defense?

I realize this might offend some people, but the truth is, we have NO BUSINESS whatsoever being in other countries. It's not only not defending our own country, but it is occupying a foreign nation, and this only angers and empowers Muslim extremists the more, who look at us as imperialist occupiers rather than freedom fighters.

I'm an American. I believe in freedom. But I believe in freedom HERE, in my country! I really don't care about other nations, and don't think it's our business to get into their business!

3. Buying our oil from foreign Muslim extremist nations only empowers and enriches them in order to attack us even the more.

I don't know who was the first president or congress to close down America's oil wells and get us to buy our oil from the Middle East, but who ever he was, he didn't forsee the problem that would encur. We are now dependent upon foreign oil, and we are paying for it to nations that are friendly to and even in favor of the terrorists. In fact, story after story has hit the press, that the same money we pay for their oil has time and again been set aside and even funnelled towards Hamas, and other extremist groups who only live to destroy America. Yet still America buys their oil. How can this be?

There is enough oil in the Prudoe Bay area of Alaska to fulfill America's oil needs for the next 200 years. And, if they were to open that area to drilling, we would have so much oil, that eventually the price of gasoline would go down to $.99 cents a gallon! We even have a pipeline up there already built that could pipe that oil south to the ships! Imagine if gasoline were that cheap! It would change the economy over night and there would be a great economic boom! And, those same extremists in the Middle East who are trying to kill us would be bankrupt in just a few years. All terrorism, then, would be over, because they wouldn't be funded to continue their jihads. So why doesn't America do that? Why do they continue to jeopardize American lives? Why do they enrich the terrorists while they empoverish their own citizens?

It just doesn't make sense! It's almost like, ...well, like someone has planned on this on purpose.

The truth is that there is terrorism, and it's in most of the nations of the world, as muslim extremists seek to destroy Christianity, freedom, and the capitalistic free market system. They want Sharia law and they are doing their best to bring it in world-wide. So, my question is, "Why are we allowing them to do it?" Why is America not trying to fix this problem?

Above I've given three ways to help stop extremist Muslim terrorism in America. In case you didn't get it, I'll give them again more clearly below:

1. SECURE OUR BORDERS!

2. REENACT THE MONROE DOCTRINE AND RECALL ALL OF OUR TROOPS WORLD-WIDE!

3. STOP BUYING OIL FROM THE MIDDLE EAST! OPEN DRILLING IN AMERICA!

This might sound to some like a radical solution, especially when we find that the people most against this are the liberal, progressive, democrats, who are adamantly against closing our borders, and drilling in America, thinking it is harmful to the environment. But the truth is, that they are the ones who are against these three solutions to the Terrorist problem. One must then wonder if they aren't terrorists themselves. And you know what? When you start to study them out, you find they do have roots in the 1960's of terrorism on American soil, with groups like the Weather Underground. Hmmm. It's almost like those in power today are in cahoots with the terrorists in the Middle East, and they are working together to destroy America.

Will terrorism ever stop? Who knows. But one thing is for sure. Americans are fed up with the threats, and are tired of the failing economy. They want cheaper gas and oil, more freedoms, less expenses, and no more catastrophies like 9/11.

If I were president, and I probably will never be, so I don't have to worry about it, I would make America this solemn promise: "Back to the Monroe Doctrine! Close the borders to terrorists, shut down government agencies that get 'black budgets' and do things that Americans don't want done, and open up Alaska and even the Gulf to drilling. Focus on our defense, our freedom, and our prosperity here in America, and to blazes with the rest of the world. Let them fend for themselves. We need to stop giving them foreign aid as well. Why should we PAY them to try to kill us?"

This is exactly what needs to be done in America to make it great again. Will it happen, probably not. But at least now you know what the cause of the problem is and how to stop it. We don't need anymore "stop-gap" measures. We need to go to the root of the problem and fix it altogether. But no one in the "establishment" will ever do this. They are more interested in following their "party" rather than following the will of the American "people."

Why and What at the British Museum.

The other day I was in an antique shop somewhere and I came upon a little hardback book entitled, "Why? and What? at the British Museum," by Lettice Bell. It was printed in New York, and had no date at all but it looked to be around the turn of the last century (early 1900's). It was an easy read, with only 81 pages, but it was an amazing little book. It was written to children, and it was a guided tour of the British Museum, showing the many antiquities there and how they prove the Bible true.

It was also full of drawing of the many items in the British Museum, and it gave a Bible story connected with each of them, even quoting scriptures which mentioned either the people or the peoples involved.

As you read the book, you are supposed to have it in hand when you go to the British Museum, as it is a guide book to that institution, and it pointed out many of the exhibits.

It starts with a bust of the maniacal Roman leader Nero, and gives his dreadful history of debachery and murder. It also shows the Apostle Paul as a prisoner under Nero's reign.

Netx it mentions the bust of Tiberius Claudius, and points out that it was under his reign that all the world was taxed, and that this was when Joseph and Mary had to travel to their native places of birth to be counted. It continues with a bust of Julius Caesar and others.

I then gives a drawing of a statute of Diana, and tells the story of Paul in Ephesus who preached Christ Jesus, while the worshippers of Diana cried aloud against him. It even delves into Nimrod and how Diana really represents Semiramis and who idol worship started with them in Babylon.

It then lists the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. These include:

1. Diana's Temple at Ephesus

2. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon

3. The Pharos lighthouse of Alexandria

4. The Colossus of Rhodes

5. The Great Pyramid of Egypt

6. The Sphinx

7. The Mausoleum at Halicarnassos.

The book then turns it's attention towards a small little black obelisk numbered "98," which was found in the city of Calah, near Ninevah. The monument records the story of Israelite King Jehu kneeling before the conquering Assyrian King Shalmaneser.

On and on the book continues showing exhibit after exhibit tying them into the history given the the Bible. We find Sennacherib before King Lachish, a Moabite Stone which ties in to the book of 2 Kings, Sennacherib's Clay History Book, Nebuchadnezzar's Doorstep, and much more. And it's amazing how the exhibits in the British Museum do nothing more than PROVE the histories found in the Bible. Still, there are those who choose not to believe the word of God.

Yes, this was an interesting book. Too bad there aren't more like this simple children's book which seek to PROVE and not DISPROVE the Bible as the word of God.

Class Warfare?

On the news lately all you hear about is the g'vment wanting to tax everyone. The news is even proclaiming that the pres is guilty of trying to start "class warfare" by trying to tax the rich while exclaiming that they are "too rich" and therefore should pay their "fair share" by paying more in taxes.

With this in mind, I thought about what the Bible says about all this, and I believe I found a passage that lays it out very well. It is Matthew 20:1-15. There we read:

1 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,

4 And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.

5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.

6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?

7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.

9 And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.

10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.

11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,

12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?

14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.

15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

This passage holds a lot of information, but it also gives us a lot of truth, and shows what God thinks about all of this. In the passage we find a man who desires to hire some people. According to the passage, and to God who wrote it, the man has the right to choose how much he will pay a person and that person has the right to accept or reject his offer. That man can further hire whoever he wants, whenever he wants! (Kind of a good argument against Affirmative Action, isn't it?)

As we read further on, we find that the workers become angry, because they feel they DESERVED more than what they were contracted for. (Can you say "UNIONS?" Cause that's what they do! They strive on trying to pit workers against their bosses).

And when the workers raged against their employer in the passage, we find him carefully reminding them that he said he would pay them a penny for their work, and that's exactly what he did. He did no wrong. The problem was they felt it wasn't fair to get paid the same amount as those other workers. But feelings don't matter in business. Business isn't paying a person what they feel they deserve. It is following through with a contract of paying a person what they were contracted to work for.

Now, we get to the important part. Notice in verse thirteen where it says that the man did no wrong. It was not wrong what the man did in paying a penny to those who worked longer than those who worked less. It was a fair market system, in which workers were contracted at the going rate. Thus, the BIBLE SAYS it's not wrong for an employer to set a wage for his employee and then pay him that wage! So what if one man works less and get's paid the same as the other men who worked longer. It was not about what was FAIR, it was about what was CONTRACTED! People need to get this. Business is when two people agree on a certain price and then they pay it. It's that simple! Yes, some people are worth more than others. And yes, some people just happen to be in the right place at the right time and get paid more than others. That's just life. It's not a reason to "tax" the "evil" employer, because he's "unfair" in his payroll methods.

In fact, we don't know why the employer did what he did. I could be that the employer did not know he needed that many workers. He was trying to save money by only hiring a few at a time. Turns out, they didn't work as hard as he thought they would, so that's why he had to hire others, and he did so at the same price. If there is a fault in all this, it wasn't the fault of the employer. Most likely it was the fault of those guys who worked from the beginning, for had they worked harder, they most likely would have finished sooner and the employer would not have had to hire those other guys. And, possibly, the employer might have even used that money he had to use to give to the new guys to give as a bonus to the first workers for finishing early! We'll never know. But what we do know is that the employer has the right to contract as many people as he wants at any price he wants. This is the Bible teaching on employment.

But, probably the most important part of the passage is found in verses 14 and 15. Notice it says that the employers tells the people who worked for him to "take what is thine." In other words, their wage was THEIRS, not someone elses. This is important, for today, the g'vment thinks that the wages that people make is not their own. They feel that part of their wage belongs to the g'vment, and that they should give it to the g'vment. But in the Bible, this is not so. If a man worked for it, IT IS HIS! All of it belongs to him, and no other!

Now look at verse 15. The Bible further teaches that what is the employers belongs to the employer, and he can do what he please with what is his. He even says, "Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with my one?"

The employer insinuates that he has the LAWFUL RIGHT to do what ever he will with what belongs to him. I guess he didn't live in the United States of America. For in this country, we don't find this right. Instead, we find the g'vment taxing the snot out of employers, and forcing them to pay so much into workman's comp, socialized health insurance, social security, etc. So not only does the employer have a right to give what he wants to the employee, but the employee doesn't get the full amount of what he contracted to work for.

Now watch this. This is very important. The end of verse 15, the employer says, "Is thine eye evil, because I am good?"

If only the socialists, communists, keynsian economic followers, and the u.s. g'vment would get a hold of this. You see, the employer is GOOD! His is not the bad guy! In fact, he's the good guy. He's the guy with the money looking for employees to work for him so he can pay them. In other words, he's the guy moving the money! Not only is he paying for those men to work, and then they use the money to buy what they wish, thus helping the economy, but also the rich man is getting his grapes picked, so he can then sell them, thus making more money to use to buy more things, which in turn helps the economony even more. He is GOOD because he is giving people work. But in our society, and in our current administration, he's looked at as the evil "BAD GUY" who's so vile and ungodly because he "has too much" and he doesn't "share it with everybody." But why should he have to? The Bible outright tells us that what he has is HIS, it belongs to HIM! And what the employers receive in payment for work is THEIRS, it belongs to THEM! So why is the g'vment trying to take money off of both of them??? Why is it the g'vment claims to be "the Saviour" who can tax everybody and then use the tax money to make the economy run better? It can't! God's model runs the best, and God's model is that what a man has is his, and what a man earns is his, and they both can do whatever they want with what is theirs!

In our modern day this Bible story would not read the same. It would instead read like this....

There was a certain householder who decided he needed to hire some people to work for him. he hired them for a 100 dollars a day, but found out that he could not do so because he could go to jail for paying them under the counter, and besides he didn't know if they were illegal or not, so he had to make sure first, and to hire them, he had to get a business license, and when he did, he had to make sure he filled out a W-2 form for each employee he hired, and that even though he told them he'd pay them 100 dollars a day, he couldn't do so, cause he had to withold some of their pay and put it into social security, insurance, and other things. So the people who worked for him, thinking they were getting 100 dollars a day were only getting about 65, but that was okay cause they were working and felt good about it. But then later the householder had to hire more people because his business did very well, but he couldn't find anyone, so he hired some people that the g'vment recommended. Eventually, they formed a union, and demanded 150 dollars a day. When the householder couldn't afford that sum, the workers went on strike, and the householder had no workers, so he had to cave in and pay what they demanded. In the meantime, the original workers who worked for him for 100 dollars a day (or really only 65 dollars a day) found out their new fellow employees were making more money than they were and they got made and demanded a raise! They got a small raise, but didn't feel it was enough. After finding out they were making about 90 dollars a day after taxes, they still realized the union guys were making much more, so they joined the union. When they did, they didn't realize that union dues would be so high, so even though they were now making 150 dollars a day, they were really only making about 85 dollars a day after union dues, taxes, and health care benefits.

In the mean time, the householder couldn't make ends meet as he couldn't pay the high wages, so he had to fire some people. When he did, the union got made and went on strike again. The householder had to make a choice. Either shut down his entire operation or give in and let the thing run, but make no profit. The householder chose for the sake of the workers, to keep the thing running so they would have a job. But eventually, he went in debt and lost his vineyard to the bank and had to close the whole operation. The union got ever more angry as their workers were without a job, so they murmured the more against the householder, and even stormed his house and pulled him out of bed and hung him on a tree. They danced and sang songs about the "wicked old householder" who was "so stingy with his money" and how he had gotten rich off of "their slave labor." And for generations he was looked at as the bad guy, when all he was trying to do was make a living, help others to be employed, and run a business.

What happened to the vineyard? I'm glad you asked! The g'vment took it over and let it sit until all the grapevine dried up and died. All the grapes were lost, and now no one could get grapes locally. The price of grapes rose, as that was the biggest producer of grapes in the entire country, and everyone pretty much got SCREWED! The householder went broke and was murdered. The union thugs went on a rampage and burned the town down cause they were angry that they couldn't find work. And the entire populace, that was once used to drinking grape juice for free (as the householder would give each employee an entire casket full every Christmas) could not afford to drink it anymore. The only one who prospered from the whole deal was the g'vment who got rich off of taxing the householder, taxing the workers, and using taxpayer's dollars to rebuild the town and put them to work in g'vment jobs in which they received more than what they received working for the householder, but in which the other villages had to pay for through their taxes. (In other words, the taxes of the other surrounding villages went to pay the workers). What'd they do? They dug up the old grape vines and burned them and then worked planting new grape vines in their place. But they weren't allowed to pick them, and so they rotted on the vines. Other workers were placed as body guards in the field and the entire grape orchard was shut off from the public. Meanwhile the price of grapes rose nationwide, while these grapes just rotten on the vine.

I could go on and on, but you know it's true. That's exactly what has happened in communist Russia, communist Vietnam, communist China, communist Korea, etc. Instead of working for a just employer who pays a decent wage and rewards his people, the g'vment has to come in and mess it all up. Then it all falls down like a house of cards. How sad, especially when all you have to do is just go pick the grapes off the tree and eat them. But you aren't even allowed to do that. Nope, you can only sit on the other side of the fence and watch the grapes rot, while your stomach turns over and you lick your lips wishing for a drink.

Class warfare anyone? Or how about just plain old free market capitalism? I'll take the capitalism system anyday. Let me pay what I want, and let the worker get the full amount. And let me keep what I make on the goods I sell, ALL OF IT! Then everything goes smoothly. That's the BIBLE WAY!

Correspondence from a man who denies the Atonement

On September 5th, of this year (2011) I received an email from a guy asking me to respond to the following questions. His email is below:

Robert,

I just read your salvation plan, and want to ask you if you would consider answering a few questions to what you are teaching as truth.

1, Does one have to stop sinning to be saved, such as porn watching, fornication, a thief, drunkard, to receive the mercy of God and forgiveness? (through true biblical repentance)

2, Is Christ our substitution or our example to follow, another words did He die to cover our sins and become our righteousness, or to ransom us from the bondage's of sin, putting to death by His blood the works of the devil, so we can nor follow His example?

I read his email and thought not much of it, so I happily responded in the following manner.

Thanks for your questions. I'll be happy to answer.

Question 1: "Does one have to stop sinning to be saved, such as porn watching, fornication, a thief, drunkard, to receive the mercy of God and forgiveness?"

Answer: According to the Bible, salvation is not by what you DO (i.e. stop sinning to get or stay saved), it's by receiving by FAITH what Jesus Christ has already DONE for you on the cross of Calvary. Eph. 2:8,9 state: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Notice salvation is by FAITH, and not anything you do of yourself. It is a GIFT of God, not of WORKS, and it's not something you can BOAST about (like saying, look what I stopped doing!)
Should you stop doing those things? BY ALL MEANS YES! We shouldn't do those things at all. But salvation is not dependent upon what you do or don't do, it's dependent upon whether or not you choose to accept what Jesus DID for you when he died on the cross to pay for your sins of "porn watching, fornication, thievery, drunkeness, etc."
Repentance means two things: 1. To feel sorry for something and 2. To turn from one thing to another. That's what repentance is. Do you feel sorry for putting Christ Jesus on the cross? For it was your sins that placed him there. And are you willing to turn from trusting yourself to trusting in Jesus alone for salvation?

Question 2: "Is Christ our substitution or our example to follow, another words did He die to cover our sins and become our righteousness, or to ransom us from the bondage's of sin, putting to death by His blood the works of the devil, so we can nor follow His example?"

Answer: Good question! The answer is he is both! He died for our sins as our substitute. 1 Peter 3:18 is a good verse: "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit." Notice this verse says that Jesus suffered for our sins. He was the just, we are the unjust. He was our substitute dying for OUR sins in OUR place. However, yes, he is also a great example for us to follow. We should follow him and try to live like he did. We should try to live a holy life.

You ask, "did He die to cover our sins and become our righteousness or to ransom us from the bondage of sin, putting to death by his blood the works of the Devil..."?

He did die to PAY for our sins. However, we must accept his payment by faith in order to be forgiven personally and have our sins washed away. He is only our righteousness when we receive him by faith, then and only then does he make us righteous. His blood did not "put to death the works of the Devil." I don't know where you got that. The devil is still alive today and working in doing evil all the time. And Yes, Jesus wants us to separate ourselves from sin, however, we are still sinners. There are only two types of sinners: Saved Sinners and Lost Sinners. In other words, Sinners who have been born again and Sinners who have not been born again. Which are you?

Romans 3:25-28 below are some good verses that should answer your questions better than I could...

25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Notice it says that Christ is our PROPITIATION (or substitute) THROUGH FAITH IN HIS BLOOD. Is your faith in his blood? It says that when you trust his blood, you are declaring HIM righteous, and not yourself. It is Jesus who justifies us by faith, not by our own works, and not by the deeds of the law.

This man responded to me in a way that it made me think he wasn't saved. For what I read was a man who seemed to be denying the blood atonement of Jesus Christ. His response follows:

Thank you Robert for your honest answers, I know what you sent you believe with all your heart, and teach it to many, but I cannot accept what you wrote as truth, you have been greatly deceived, and deceiving many.

The true Gospel is simple, and I send you these tract's that can save you from your errors if you take it to heart, repent from your false teachings, and seek mercy while you can. 2 Corin 7-10!

Everything But the Truth!

You are standing on a foundation made of Straw. By the slick use of Language the ultimate ruse has been perpetrated on mankind and deeply ground into his physic. It concerns forgiveness of sins by God, better known as the ‘Atonement’ With a Vast majority of the people on earth in the so-called ‘Christian’ camp, this subject is of the utmost importance to their eternal well being.

Most Christians (of all the various groups) believe that Jesus Christ, the Messiah, came to earth as a Man and died on the Cross ‘in their place’, to forgive the sins of the World. Whereas He made ‘Atonement’ for them and ‘IF’ they Trust and Receive His free Gift they are ‘Saved’ from the Wrath of God and destined for eternal paradise at the end. Thus this is the end to all their Preaching and Evangelism, throughout the entire world, regardless which group or Doctrinal System they are derived from.

The idea behind this ‘Atonement’ is based on a Substitution, Representation Model established firmly in ‘Reformed’ theology. Most of the Preaching however is very much simplified in the Pulpits at a human level so that it will appeal to the minds of the people. The more complicated issues of Doctrine are avoided to maintain an aura of Mystery about the things of God. Thereby a person need not understand the whole spectrum of theology behind it all, just ‘Accept’ it as Truth.

In this manner most Professing Christians are able to have a degree of assurance that God has genuinely forgiven their Sins and will take them to Heaven when they die; Although they remain vile sinners here on earth, hopelessly addicted to their base Nature (born into them) and unable to ever cease from sinning daily in thought, word and deed. Accordingly the ‘Representation’ aspect of their belief System supports this conclusion with flying colors! If Jesus Stands ‘in my Stead’ and suffers the Punishment I deserve what remains to be done? He has Done it all, in my place because I was ‘UNABLE’ to do it myself. My ‘TRUST’ seals the transaction and now God can no longer hold me accountable for my sins. (even though I continue in them.)

By design the ‘Christian’ Religion has set forth a VERY POOR example to the World for any real Moral uprightness in the people who profess it. And the reason is quit Simple. They have foolishly embraced a Massive Fallacy concerning the ATONEMENT! One that removes the guilt of their sin without actually removing the sin itself. Consequently the Jesus they believe in serves as a Representative ‘in their place’ NOT as an example to follow after. (1Pet2:21) The Condition of this supposed Salvation is founded on the ‘Not of Works’ mantra. So the Vast Majority of professed Christians trust in a God that requires nothing of them (but to believe) and will not hold them accountable for their on going wrong doings. When pure common sense dictates to the human mind that everyone will Reap what they have sown. (Gal6:7-8)

Hence Logic is removed from the equation. People can hold to ANY System of Doctrine in the Christian religion as long as it is based on this fallacy. But the entire structure of this system comes crashing down on the interpretation of a simple ‘Preposition’ If my hope of Salvation is based on Jesus dying on the Cross ‘FOR’ me, Does that mean ‘in my place’, ‘instead of me’ OR ‘ON MY BEHALF’ ? Does it Matter which definition I believe in, on whether or not I’m really Saved from my sin? When it comes to True Redemption, it matters a GREAT deal!

Atonement founded on Substitution means that the retributive Justice of God has been poured out on Jesus instead of me. It also means (in most interpretations) that the Moral Righteousness and Obedience of Christ is transferred to me by faith. Once I trust in this arrangement there is Nothing to secure my own Obedience to God or motivate me to follow His example. Everything has been done ‘in advance’,. My sins, Past, Present and Future are ‘Done away’ on the Cross with Jesus. The only thing that changed is my Status with God who has now reconciled Himself to my sinful ‘Condition’. My Justification is secured in Christ and cannot be reversed.

However IF indeed the truth is that He died ‘ON MY BEHALF’ as an Offering for Sin, (as Christians believed for the first 1000 years of their existence) then the Retributive Justice of God has NOTHING to do with it. Therefore Redemption is based on a ‘Return to Favor’ on Condition of me forsaking my sins and obeying God. The entire process turns on a faith PROVEN by DEEDS, (Acts26:18-20) just as the Bible Says.

In Repentance I die with Christ (to sin) and my heart is made PURE by Faith Working by Love! Now I Obey God Cleansed, Purged and Scrubbed Clean of all my overflow of wickedness and defilement able to Receive with meekness the implanted Word that can Save my Soul. (Rom6:4-6, James1:21-23) I Come Sorrowing after the Mercy of God, CLEARED of my wrong doings by forsaking them and making restitution where necessary. Vehemently desiring in my heart to Obey Him with great zeal, presuming nothing and plead for Reconciliation. (This is the Model of Redemption set forth in the Bible! 2Cor7:10-11)

A FAR Cry from someone swapping places with me and Magically transferring the Virtue of Christ to my account. The Substitution Changes God by appeasing His Wrath (which is spent on Jesus) while Man remains unchanged still a ‘sinner’ by Nature. All Because of the faulty translation of a simple preposition, that common sense and logic show throughout the Scriptures that it is Something Done on one’s BEHALF NOT ‘in their place’. (Gal3:13) This is the reason people will jump through fiery hoops to Conjecturally prove their Doctrinal theories are true and that the Bible cannot be taken in a Literal sense especially when Obedience and Purity are involved. (1Tim1:5)

Think about it a moment. You believe that Jesus died on the Cross ‘in your place’ and took on Himself your sins and the penalty due them. If you TRUST in that, and perform whatever ritual the church you attend demands, you are Saved. The remainder of your new ‘Christian’ life is now relational whereas no further condemnation can befall you. That was taken care of on the Cross. Neat arrangement, BUT unfortunately it was invented in the Mind of man, not God.

On the other hand IF Jesus offered Himself ‘for my sin’ and became a Curse on ‘my behalf’ (Gal3:13, 2Cor5:21) I now have the opportunity to approach God for Reconciliation, in Repentance and faith and plead for His Mercy. The heart change comes ‘in the process’ of my godly sorrow for sin. Therefore I TOUCH the Blood of Christ in reality and DIE ‘WITH’ Him by Example and become Truly Purified by Faith! (Heb9:14) A HUGE DIFFERENCE in the outcome, wouldn’t you say? In the Former I’m Cloaked and Covered in my sins. In the Latter I am Released from my bondage to sin and saved from its Corrupting influence. The Works of the Devil are Destroyed! (1John3:8)

Thus the True Meaning of Bible Redemption: ‘Release from bondage by Payment of Ransom!’ What Jesus did on the Cross was NOT take anyone’s place, BUT Provide Himself as an Offering to Ransom Man and turn him from Darkness to Light, from the Power of Satan to God! Hence the ‘Works’ of the Devil are Destroyed and Man can be Restored to an upright heart. Now the Bible makes sense! DEEDS will be the deciding factor in your final Salvation, not some mystical Trust in an illusion. (Rom2:7-8, 1Pet1:17)

Professed Christians today are believing ‘Everything’ but the Truth. Simply because most of them have NEVER been exposed to the truth. It’s an unfortunate reality however that their belief Systems has a very Strong tendency to Silence their Conscience to the Convicting Power of the Holy Spirit. Thus when they do hear the Truth it cannot Cut them to the heart so that they would be motivated to Repent. When a person is convinced that some form of Doctrine is Correct, it is almost impossible to persuade them otherwise. To them the Bible Supports their fallacies and absolves them from and further punishment.

Will You Repent?

“God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” John3:16

Does this Single Passage Capsulate the Gospel Message? Will you then merely ‘Believe’, and Trust that you have eternal life? Did you know that the Bible also says that the ‘Devils Believe’ and tremble? (James2:19) Are you then willing to stake your eternal destiny on the testimony of what men have said about John3:16? Is it Really ‘Faith Alone’ that Saves the Soul? Many think so, but the Real question is: ‘DID JESUS THINK SO?’

Jesus said that NOT Everyone who says to Me Lord, Lord will Enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who DOES the Will of My Father in heaven! Matt7:21. Is Doing the Will of God merely ‘Believing’ in Jesus? Again, many will tell you so. But yet Christ Himself answered the question of who would be Saved in Luke13:24, He said: “STRIVE to enter the Narrow Gate, for Many, I say to you, will Seek to Enter and NOT be Able!”

Your Churches tell you ‘Seek and you shall find’ but that’s only a PART of this Message. If you fail to STRIVE (that is put forth a strenuous effort in the face of all adversity) you Will NOT Enter. WHY? Because not only is the Gate Narrow it is also DIFFICULT and only a FEW will be able to find it. Matt7:14. No wonder the Apostle Peter proclaimed to the Saints that the ‘Righteous’ are Scarcely Saved!’ 1Pet4:18, or More Clearly: ‘Saved with GREAT Difficulty.’ It certainly appears that he understood the Gospel Message of His Lord in plain language.

Further is the aspect of ‘Repentance’, Preached as the Basic fundamental Message from the Start. When Jesus described those coming to Him at the Judgment, claiming good works done in His Name, He called them ‘Workers’ of Iniquity! (Matt7:22-23) They were Not among the FEW who had ‘Departed from Iniquity’ (2Tim2:19)

Under the God so loved the World Gospel, NO ONE is Departing from their Iniquity. In fact they are being taught the Very Opposite! That you come to Christ ‘in your sins’ He Receives you and Cleans you up later.

Is this REALLY what the Bible teaches? Are you Certain it’s Correct? Your Soul is hanging in the balance.

EVERYWHERE the Message of Repentance includes a Clearing of Wrong Doing BEFORE Pardon can be granted. (2Cor7:10-11) Surly this is an extremely Difficult concept for you to accept, having sit under the ‘Love’ Gospel for so long. But it’s TRUE none the less. John the Baptist and Christ Himself followed the Prophets and called for this kind of Repentance as the Single Condition to be Reconciled to God and enter the Kingdom. (Matt3:-10, Lk3:8)

Isaiah said: “Let the Wicked forsake his ways and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him RETURN to the Lord and He will have Mercy on him. For He will abundantly pardon.” Isa55:7

Hundreds of Passages could be cited proclaiming the exact Same Message of Repentance. So when the Lord compared His Message to that of the Prophets, He used Jonah as His example. (Luke11:29-32, Mt12:38-42) Upon hearing the Repentance message of Jonah the people Nineveh STOPPED sinning, shut down their city and Cried out to the Lord, assuming Nothing. Real Repentance includes a Season of godly sorrow in which the Pennant person STOPS or gets Clear of their Wrong Doings! (It Does Not happen after Salvation)

That’s why 2Cor7:11 Concludes by saying, “In ALL these things you PROVED yourselves to be CLEAR in this matter!” (Meaning PURE as in Acts15:9) THEREFORE a Genuine Repentance unto Saving Faith is PROVEN by DEEDS, Just as the Bible Says! Acts26:18. It’s NOT Repeating words, Receiving anything or Trusting in a concept.

You have been LIED to! Your Eyes are Closed to the Truth! OPEN them and TURN while Mercy is still available.

“To Open their Eyes and to TURN them from Darkness to Light and from the Power of Satan to God, that they May receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are Sanctified by Faith in Me!”

You MUST Break your Conditioning!!! Come Out from among them. Depart from Iniquity and Seek His Mercy. The Path will be Difficult and Narrow, every diversion under the sun will try to hinder your progress, including your own passions and desires. The Old man has to Die in Repentance…..DEAD TO SIN….(Rom6:4-6) The Body of Sin Done away with so that you are NO LONGER a Slave to Sin! You Come out of Repentance a NEW Creation in Christ. (2Cor5:17) Not Still addicted to it in need of ‘Christian Counseling’. You were NOT Born a Sinner! (You became addicted to sin by long practiced habit. Eph2:1-3)

The Love Gospel has the Process Backward. You supposedly get Saved in your sins and God cleans you up later. But admit it. DOES ANYONE Ever get Cleaned up? Many get worse, but None are released from their bondage. They fall under the Deception that sin humbles them and learn to Love the Message that they are poor sinners saved by Grace. Soon the Conscience is Seared and the heart waxed cold. The Light in them is Darkness and how Great is that Darkness! DON’T let it happen to you! Repent Now, like the People of Nineveh and find His Mercy.

This looked like a "form letter" to me, and something this man probably sent to a lot of people, thinking it was his ministry to do so. It contained a lot of "wordage" but the message seemed clear as I read it through. This man was claiming that WORKS were necessary for salvation, and that no one could be saved by faith alone in the atonement of Christ. He further denied the atonement of Jesus on man's behalf for man's sins. I wrote the man back in the following manner, trying to get to the main issue:

Dear Sir,

Thanks for writing back. I have read your treatise and am greatly saddened to see you deny the blood atonement of jesus Christ. If, what you say is true, then Jesus died for nothing on the cross, and I would ask you, "Why did he die?"

The Pauline epistles are clear, salvation is by FAITH alone without works. That's just Bible. You can explain it away if you like, but it's still in the Bible. And as far as imputed righeousness (a bible term) Paul is clear that when a man believes, God IMPUTES unto him HIS righteousness. How sad you choose to reject this plain and simple Bible teaching. (Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him for Righteousness. Please Read Rom. 4:1-5, as these verses are very clear!)

You further stated:

You have shown yourself of what you truly believe in this staement, but the simple little word "AND." For you write, "If you TRUST in that, AND perform..."

Salvation is not by faith AND works. It is by faith alone. To think you can add to it or perform something yourself to be saved or stay saved, is to say that what Jesus did on the cross amounts to nothing, and it is ineffective for you can get to heaven without his blood atonement. This is a slap in the face to Jesus who PAID IT ALL on Calvary.

However, you say that DEEDS are a factor in your salvation. This is not true. Either Jesus saves you or you save yourself. But you can never please God by your works, for they will always be the works of dirty, rotten, sinner. The only way to please God is by faith (Heb. 11:6 says For without FAITH it is impossible to please God), and that faith or TRUST must be in what Jesus did to pay for your sins in your place on your behalf. It is not what we DO to get us to heaven, it is what Jesus DID for us. For no one can get to heaven himself, and no one can be "good enough" to make it to heaven. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God!

You are correct, the devils believe and tremble. But what do they believe? They believe that God exists, and they believe he died for sinners, but they believe it with their HEAD, not with their HEART, and they do not believe that Jesus did it for them!

You again are trying to make salvation based upon what man does. Good luck with that, because you'll never be saved, cause you'll never please God no matter how good of a life you live, cause you'll still be a sinner in need of forgiveness, and that forgiveness only comes through Jesus Christ's shed blood atonment and faith in it.

I believe that the modern church is very apostate. They do teach things that are foreign to the scriptures. Sadly, they often tell people just come to Jesus the best way they know how and ask him into their heart or beg him for forgiveness. But this is not salvation. You must TRUST what Jesus did for you on your BEHALF for your sins, the just for the unjust, so he might bring you to God (Remember in my last email I quoted 1 Peter 3:18 which mentions this).

So thank you for your response. But it's sad that you are so wrong. Sadder still that if you believe your works are essential to get you to heaven then you will not get there. You are lost and on your way to Hell, trusting in your own righteousness instead of the righteousness of God. You are the one who must REPENT, or turn from trusting in what you do hoping that will get you to heaven, to trusting solely, completely, and totally in what Jesus did for you.

Salvation is by faith alone in Jesus Christ and trusting his shed blood alone for forgiveness. When you trust, that moment you receive the Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:13) and it is he who helps you in your Christian life to overcome sin. But even though a sinner is saved, he can still sin. Look at the words of the apostle Paul in Romans chapter 7:

16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

According to your argument, the apostle Paul is NOT saved, because he sins and does wrong. How sad.

Salvation saves a man's soul, but his body is still sinful and corrupt. It is at the rapture that he receives the redemption of his body (Eph. 4:30) and receives a glorified body.

So, Mr. I stand in doubt of you and your WORKS doctrine of salvation. Just like the Pharisees of old, your self-righteousness shows through, as you try to say that we have to DO things to get ourselves to heaven. If this be the case, then what Jesus DID means nothing. I reject such a foolish thing. So does Jesus!

Below are some verses that prove it's not by WORKS that we are saved or can stay saved, it's only by FAITH in the WORK OF GOD in paying for our sins in our place at Calvary, through the only means that God will accept--A BLOOD ATONEMENT.

Acts chapter 13:
38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Col. chapter 1
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Gal. 2:

16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Rom. 4:

4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

I pray you will turn from your foolish way of denying the blood atonement of Jesus Christ and thinking you must WORK your way to heaven, for if you don't you'll split hell wide open when you die!

In the meantime, I'll do as I'm commanded in scriptures and "turn away" from such as you who deny the power of God (the Gospel), as instructed in 2 Tim. 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Further, I'll heed Jude chapter 1:

3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I clearly find men like you in 2 Peter 2:

1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

You need to read the Pauline epistles first, for Paul is the apostle to the Gentiles (Rom. 11:13), and his books are the heart of New Testament doctrine, and God revealed to him the Gospel, which is found in 1 Cor. 15:1-4:

15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

It is salvation by faith in what JESUS DID, not what we do to get us to heaven. Eph. 1 gives us a great truth:

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

When a man truly believes, he is saved by FAITH (trusting) and he receives the Holy Spirit of God, which seals him (Eph. 4:30). Salvation is ETERNAL LIFE. If you can lose it, it wasn't eternal. When a man is saved, he's ETERNALLY REDEEMED, all sins are forgiven, past, present, and future. He is a child of God, who has been BORN AGAIN.

So that's it. Congratulations if you've read this far. I doubt you will. But you need to be born again, for what you write makes is sound like you are not. If you think your righteousness will get you to heaven, you are sadly mistaken.

its sad to see a teacher of truth as you say you are, take and twist the truth into lies, and then accuse me of preaching works salvation.

One thing, say you are married, and you fell into adultery, behind your wife's back, she found out, and you felt bad about what you did to her, now in your teaching you are actually saying, you can continue in your adultery, while expecting your wife to forgive you. It doesn't work that way, you must put your sin to death, through repentance, then seek your wife's mercy, asking and pleading for her forgiveness, and not assuming she will forgive you. Do you think God turns His back on our wicked sin, allowing His holy spirit to fill a dirty vessel? No way.

One more thing you didn't get from what I sent, Christ died on the cross to ransom us from the bondage of sin, to bring us from the darkness to the light, and to put to death the sins that lead to death, FIRST, before we can assume He will forgive us, this isn't earning anything, this is an obedient faith, that works through genuine repentance, leading to salvation.

If you would only take the time to see what the early church taught on this you would clearly never taught, this instant sinners prayer salvation, they never taught, imputed righteousness, moral transfer, election, we are just sinners saved by grace.

Remember Robert, the road is narrow, we must put to death our flesh, Gal 2-20, first, then seek His mercy, not just receive, believe, trust, and confesses our sins, NO, we must put the sins to death first, seek His mercy, not to earn anything from God, we assume nothing, and making Christ our cover for all our sins because we are just poor sinners saved by grace, is a lie I am afraid.

And if you believe which I can assume you do, all our sins are forgiven, past, present and future because Jesus took out wrath on the cross, then you believe one can never lose their salvation, thus you are preaching saved in sin, we can live as vile sinners, and still make it into heaven.

Ditch the reformed teachings you hold dear to, get back to what the early church actually taught on these issues, and remember what Jesus taught as well as Paul and the apostles, is totally opposite of what the reformed teachers taught, that has now infested most to all the churches today, how sad.

I've read this through several times. This guy says he's not trusting in his works, but from what he says, it looks like he's trusting in his works, or the fact that he doesn't sin, or that he "repents" when he does sin. I wrote him back like this:

I do see where you are coming from though. there are lots of people who think, "I'm saved, and all my sins are forgiven so I can do what ever I want, and then they do!" I believe that's the wrong attitude! They ought to live holy because they are saved, and want to live holy because they appreciate what Jesus did for them.

I believe you work for Christ because you are saved, not to get or stay saved. It sounds like your position is you must have works to prove you are saved. With this I agree. By your fruits you shall know them. But you take it to such an extreme that you make it sound like you think a person's salvation depends upon their works. This is wrong.

But I'll not argue with you.

I do agree that when a person sins, he should repent. Clearly. But let me ask you a question. WHAT IS REPENTANCE? It is a word that means many things to many people. How do you define it?

I am very much against the Sinner's Prayer, and the shallow soul winning of today of just trying to get a person to quickly repeat a prayer. I believe a person must first HEAR and then UNDERSTAND the Gospel, and then receive it from their heart by REPENTANCE (which I define as the Bible does, turning from trusting their righteousness to Christ's righteousness).

So I'll close with this. All my beliefs and all yours aside. When you die and stand eye ball to eye ball with Jesus Christ and he says, "Why should I let you into heaven?" How will you respond? I will respond in only two words. How about you. I would be interested in hearing your answer to this question.

So far I've asked the man several questions, and he never answered them. Yet, I answered all of his questions. So after sending the above email, I was hoping to finally hear his answer to my question. But, instead, I received the follow response to my email under the title of "message denied:"

Your message was NOT accepted by recipient. You were warned, and sent the truth.

So according to this man, the TRUTH is that Jesus is not the substitute for our sins in on place dying for our sins on our behalf. He further believes that you do not get saved by FAITH alone, and he says that we should listen to LOGIC rather than the Bible. Can you say "C-R-A-Z-Y?" There is only one thing we can say about a man like this: He's a FALSE PROPHET! And, I can't help but wonder if a person like this isn't lead by "SEDUCING SPIRITS" (DEMONS!) when he denies the atonement of Jesus Christ and salvation by faith alone.

I can only hope God will open his eyes and he will get saved.

The Unfairness of Government

Certainly Government has a place in society. In fact, it’s much needed, otherwise mob rule will run rampant, and people will live in chaos with no security oftentimes unable to defend themselves from injustice and barbarous hordes intent upon harming them and taking their property.

But Government should only have two jobs and nothing more. That is 1. Uphold the law and prosecute those who break it, and 2. Defend its citizens and its borders from foreign attack. That’s it! That’s all Government is supposed to do.

But, all throughout history we see Governments eventually overstepping their boundaries as they heavily tax their people, making them slaves to its control, rather than free citizens protected by their elected officials. Instead of the government working for the people, the people always end up working for the Government.

What happens is Government forgets its place, and attempts to delve into other areas besides those two mentioned above. And rather than protect the citizens, it prosecutes them while giving special favors to the lawless and criminals. Frederic Bastiat calls this “legal plunder” or the Government passing laws to enrich itself while impoverishing the masses. And it never stops there. Once it sees how powerful it can become, it attempts to not only control but enslave the populace. The pattern is always the same. Government is usually started by the people, but then turns against the people, forcing the people to turn against it, and if possible overthrow it. If the people succeed, they start another Government, which in turn starts the cycle anew. In other words, Governments always end up in corruption and trying to take advantage of others for its own gain. How unfair this is!

But that’s not the whole story. What’s worse is that while a Government gains almost unlimited control, it sets itself us as a “god” in which it mandates right from wrong. And then it stands in judgment of what is and what isn’t fair, as it tries to change things and set up a kind of society in which it dictates fairness.

There are a plethora of examples of this all throughout history. The cycle goes like this. A certain group is empowered in the government. They favor their group only, and turn against other groups. This makes the persecuted group angry, so they fight and if they win (which they usually do), then they set up their own government that then only favours their group instead of the once governing body. Their alibi is always the same, “It’s only fair that we get to rule and enjoy the fruits of our victory, as you all did when you were in power!”

And so the cycle begins all over again. The rulers are looked at as the bad guys, who are now ruling illegitimately, and they should be ousted out so the prior rulers should be placed back in power, as it’s only “fair” that they should get back what was once theirs.

But the problem is that neither one of them knows what is truly fair. For what would really be fair is for both of them to rule together without trying to take advantage of the people, rather trying to “SERVE” them and help them to be truly free.

When Governments are in power, and they try to dictate morality, claiming only they know what’s fair and no one else does, then we have problems. Usually, really big problems! And more often then not, someone dies!

Just look at early Christianity. These “Christians” came along and told everyone there was only one God, and he alone should be worshipped. How “unfair” the Caesars looked at this, claiming to be gods themselves, so they decided that Christians should be slaughtered, and this they were, being thrown to the lions, thrust threw with swords, and more.

Look also at the Spanish Inquisition. The priests thought it wasn’t “fair” for people to look at the Bible for themselves and read it and choose to believe what they wished. No, they thought the “fair” thing to do to those “heretics” who would even dare to question the Church’s authority was to judge and condemn them all to be burned at the stake. The claimed the only “fair” thing was to listen to and obey without question the Pope and his dogmas (even though they were very corrupt, like the indulgences doctrine).

And what about the French Revolution. The peasants were instructed to think it wasn’t “fair” for the rich to have so much, and the rich thought it wasn’t “fair” for them to question their right as nobles to have everything and live a decadent life of ease. So what happened? You know. Utter pandemonium was unleashed and thousands were decapitated in the guillotines as the blood flooded the streets.

Then look at Soviet Russia. Stalin got in power because he thought it wasn’t fair for the nobility to reign. Instead, he thought the “fair” thing would be for him to take power and through communism let everyone be equal. What did he do? When he took over, he murdered over 30 million of his own people in cold blood! All while he lived in a nice palace and had everything he ever wanted, while everyone else had next to nothing. I’m sure he called this “fair.”

Then look at Hitler and the Nazi’s. They thought it wasn’t “fair” that the Jews, who worked hard for what they had, should be allowed to live, as they were only causing problems in Germany. So he taught the “fair” thing to do was to follow Evolution Theory, and annihilate the “animals” (as he viewed them), in order to give way to his own master race of people. So what did he do? That’s right, he senselessly murdered 6 million Jews in cold blood in concentration camps.

(What’s funny is that Hitler was part Jewish himself! To bad he didn’t swallow his own doctrine and commit suicide a lot earlier!)

Now that brings us to today. And you know what, we find this same “fairness” doctrine even being taught by some today who say things like, “It’s not fair that Conservatives should be the only voices on the radio! We need to have equal time for Liberal voices as well!”

But watch out! When a guy starts shouting “fairness” then somebody’s going to be killed!

The history of America is all about “fairness.” King George thought he was being “fair” by taxing America to death, and couldn’t understand why they were so against his ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY in trying to take away what was rightfully theirs. So the founding fathers wrote to him with their grievances. He dismissed them, thinking the “fair” thing to do was to send troops to make them obey his corrupt rule.

What did America do? They fought back, but they did it “fairly” and decently. But still, people died!

Eventually, the war was won and America became an economic powerhouse, and probably one of the greatest nations on earth. But someone up North said, “Well, it’s not fair that they should have slaves!” So in “fairness” they passed laws to tax the South 40% on everything they had. What happened? War ensued, many died!

And what did the winning side do? Why they just burned down the whole South, claiming it was the “fair” thing to do.

Then, carpet baggers came in and took over the city and state governments and put the people under unbearable burdens as they stole from them and plundered. But, you see, that was only “fair.”

Then the nation united, and today we live in an age where people can’t forget the past. Instead of being happy that we are all “equal” under the constitution, we now hear of others (mainly liberals and progressives) saying that it’s only “fair” to redistribute wealth, and to make everyone “equal” (sounds like Hitler and Stalin all over again, doesn’t it?)

And they are now active trying to tax people even more (do I hear King George’s applause?), claiming it’s only “fair” that people pay their fair share. (Meanwhile, they are trying to give citizenship and immunity to illegal aliens who pay NO TAXES WHATSOEVER!).

And when anyone steps up and says, “Hey, wait a minute! We are headed down the same path as those before us, and we are going to go down in flames unless we stop!”, they are instantly labeled a “racist” and an “intolerant bigot” who doesn’t believe in “fairness” but only in wanting to keep others down.

Are you beginning to see a pattern here? It’s like all those who speak about what’s “fair” and trying to manipulate things in their own favor, all the while claiming it’s the “fair” thing to do. Yet they are the very ones who are so “unfair” themselves!

It’s not about what’s fair, as life is very unfair. It’s about what is right, what is true, what it just, and what is righteous. And all of those things can only be found in the BIBLE, not in man’s opinion, or in Government’s administration.

The only “fair” thing is that all men be left alone to stand or fall on their own merit. If they are hard workers, they should be left alone to succeed. If they are not, they should be left alone to starve. It’s NOT fair to steal from those who do work hard to give a person welfare all their lives who does not even try to get a job, or even try to get ahead themselves. Yet we are told that it’s “unfair” to deprive welfare recipients of what they are “entitled” to. Can you see the false way of thinking here? How is a person “entitled” to something that belongs to someone else? Why, dare I say it? That almost sounds like the French Revolution, Hitler, and old Joe Stalin all over again!

So without mentioning a certain party, or a certain country, or a certain person in particular, I’ve tried to write this blog to show the pattern of Governments world-wide. They might start out good, but then they use “fairness” to manipulate things in their favor the people are always the ones who suffer for it. And instead of Government being what it is supposed to be, prosecutor of the law and protector of the rights of the citizens, Governments become the enemy of the citizens. They look at them as “criminals” unless they do what they are told, which is oftentimes “unfair” and one-sided, profiting only the Government, and leaving the citizen broke, wronged, and left without any freedom whatsoever.

It’s sad that this is the cycle, but history proves it as it repeats itself time and again. The Government dictates “fairness” but only cares about what’s fair for the Government and its cronies, and not what is truly fair for the people.

With that stated, those of you who know your Bible know that only fair Government the world will ever have will be when Jesus Christ comes to rule and reign for one thousand years in the millennium. He is the only true and righteous judge without sin, and only he can be truly “fair.”

Even so, come Lord Jesus!

Why People Who Claim to Be Christians Fall

I've been working hard at trying to take all the books I've written and update them, reading and rewritting them so they are worthy to be published. Anyway, I've got several commentaries I've written, these include those on the book of 1 Thessalonians (although it's still not finished), James, 1 Peter, and 2 Peter. I've gone back and reread these and updated them some, and while I was working on 2 Peter, I noticed something that made me think. That's what I want to talk about in this blog. I think it's very pertinent for our day and age, especially as Christians and Churches sink deeper and deeper into apostasy. So, what I've learned I'll share with you here. I hope this will be a blessing to you, and as Peter said it his epistle, it will help you to "grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18)

So here's the verse that set me thinking, with the capitalization being my emphasis on the words:

Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for IF YOU DO THESE THINGS, YE SHALL NEVER FALL: (2 Peter 1:10)

Here we are told by the apostle Peter that there are some things that if you do, you shall never fall, or backslide. This verse really jumped out at me. I don't want to fall as a Christian. I don't want to backslide. I want to be a good Christian, standing firm in truth and living for my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

But as I looked at the verse, I thought to myself, "What are those things of which he speaks that can keep me from falling?"

I looked at the context and I found the things of which he spoke were found in the verses above, and there were seven things mentioned in total. They are:

5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

Peter here tells us to give ALL DILIGENCE to the following things which he says will keep a Christian from falling: 1. VIRTUE, 2. KNOWLEDGE, 3. TEMPERANCE, 4. PATIENCE, 5. GODLINESS, 6. BROTHERLY KINDNESS, and 7. CHARITY.

As I looked up each of these in the dictionary I almost wanted to cry. For, so few who claim to be Christians today actually have these characteristics, much less practice them. Why is this?

I looked back up at verse four in the context and read these words:

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

There is, then, a contrast between those in the world (worldly people) and those who are Christians (partakers of the divine nature). It says that Christians have ESCAPED the corruption of the world and no longer LUST after the things of the world. So obviously the world has fallen because the world doesn't have these things.

If this be true, why then are so many who claim to be Christians today so different from the list of the seven things that Peter gave which will keep a Christian from falling? Instead of virtue, many Christians are full of vice. Instead of knowledge, many are so very ignorant of even the most basic of Bible doctrines. Instead of temperant, many Christians are given to excess. Instead of patience, most are strongly impatient. Instead of godly most are inmoral. Instead of brotherly love and kindess, we find such cruelty and bickering among Christians. And instead of charity there is so much apathy and malice.

In short, it's hard to find anyone nowadays who claims to be a Christian who has all these attributes that Peter lists.

But what's worse was when I came to the verses right after those seven things listed by Peter:

8 For IF THESE THINGS BE IN YOU, and ABOUND, they make you that ye shall neither be BARREN nor UNFRUITFUL in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 But he that lacketh these things is BLIND, and CANNOT SEE afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

One would be very hard pressed to find a Christian today with all seven of these things, but imagine a Christian who not only has these things, but they ABOUND IN him. Wow!

But notice even further that the Scripturs teach us that those who don't have these things are called BLIND. They cannot SEE. They have lost their VISION.

To me this is so very sad, for I see Christians today who claim to be great men of God who are out attacking one another, devouring one another, calling names, and putting others down. While they claim to be "men of God" being used of God, yet they are barren and unfruitful in God's eyes.

But how can this be? How on earth could they even think to call themselves CHRISTIANS when they act the way they do?

What's worse is others who follow these men actually think that by doing what they are doing in namecalling and character assassinating others, that they are STANDING STRONG IN THE FAITH. In other words, they think that a man's meaness means he's a strong Christian. But that's not what the verses above say! If anything, the meaner the Christian, the sooner he's going to FALL according to these verses above, for he is BLIND and can't SEE.

Could it be, then, that's those who claim to be Christians but instead of being virtuous, kind, temperate, and charitable, and are rather cold, hard, and angry are then not truly Christians at all? Could it be?

If they are Christians, they are not good examples of it. And they had better watch out, because the less CHARITY they have, the more blind they'll become and the sooner they'll fall.

With this in mind, I've decided I'm not interested in attacking others personally, whether they claim to be Christians or not. I just don't find in the Bible that that's the CHRISTIAN WAY of doing things.

Instead, I find that we should attack a person's FALSE DOCTRINES if what they are preaching is against the word of God. We might not agree with other Christians, but that doesn't give us a right to put them down and attack them personally. Instead of making it a matter of me against them, or them against me, it should be about WHAT DOES HE TEACH ABOUT SO AND SO AND WHY? If he teaches something contrary to scripture, we should repudiate his false teaching and expose it from the Scriptures. We should not downgrade, ridicule, and lamblast the man, for he just might be right on other things. We should instead say, SO AND SO TEACHES THUS AND SO, BUT THE BIBLE TEACHES THUSLY. That's not an attack! Rather that's the BIBLE verse THEM, not me against them.

In closing, I find that Modern Christianity is not being destroyed by Satan. Nor is it the government or the outside world that is shutting down the Church and bringing it to an end. Rather it is BLIND CHRISTIANS or those who claim they are such, that are falling themselves, and it is they who are making the church come to naught.

They are not following the Apostle Peter in that list of those seven things he claimed that we should give ALL DILIGENCE to.

Rather they are carnal men who with carnal practices claim to serve the Lord. But shouldn't we be busy trying to walk in the Spirit and serving God in the Spirit, and not in the flesh?

I'll let you decide. All I know is I want to give more DILIGENCE in being more virtuous, knowledgeable, temperant, patient, godly, kind, and charitable. I pray that you too would desire and practice the same.

Well, I'm finally learning how to do this whole "Internet" Highway, bookstore, commerce, thingy. Yep, I'm finally getting with the times, albiet kicking and screaming. (How I miss the old times when there wasn't an internet.)

Focusing on Each Other Instead of Focusing on the Issue

I think probably the greatest tool that Satan has is to get people's eyes off of what's happening and getting people's eyes on one another.

As I watch American Politics, I see this is exactly what's happening today with the whole "debt" issue. Democrats are against Republicans and will not pass or sign anything they put out. Republicans are the same way. Thus, they only do what's best for their party. They focus on EACH OTHER instead of on the important ISSUE. They are not interested in what's right and what's best for the country. They are only intersested in themselves and furthering their political careers. Because of this, they are at a standstill, a deadlock, neither one wanting to give an inch, and neither one wanting to compromise with the other. Thus, Satan has won, as nothing can be done.

And who suffers for it? The American People.

Sadly, there is politics in the Church as well. And, all too often this politics mirrors the national politics in Washington. Just as politicians focus on one another rather than on the issue, so too Pastors, Missionaries, Evangelists, etc. focus on one another. And often, they are only interested in making themselves or their "camp" or "Bible College affiliation" look good, while lamblasting and putting down others. This is why there is so much bitter infighting among "Independent Baptist" Preachers. They don't get along, and it's because they focus on EACH OTHER rather than on the differences that supposedly divide them.

Instead of having Bible Studies and looking at truth, and discussing it, most Indies (what I call Independent Baptists) will not even crack open their Bibles and look at it with other ministers. They claim to be Bible Believers, but they refuse to have Bible Studies with others.

Instead they focus on the man himself. Once they find something they can use as an excuse to make someone they don't like look bad, or find a way to make them look not as spiritual as themselves, or somehow make them look stupid, then they can write that person off, and not even look at what that person is teaching. But what if that person has a good point?

The Independent Baptist's answer is: "So what! Who Cares!" And the person is blackballed and his doctrine, ideas, and words are not even looked at.

This is sad, but this is rampant in our churches today. Instead of unity in Christ and uniting around what the Scriptures teach, there is much dissention and division in Christian circles, and very little charity.

I speak from experience. This is what happened to me. I was part of a big Independent Baptist movement. But someone lied about me, and told people I was crazy and such. They said, "Bro. Breaker is against PRAYER all together!"

But that is simply not so. However, because they said it, and they focused on ME instead of on my teaching (which is nothing more than sound Bible Doctrine), I was blackballed and they told those within their group not to even listen to me at all. The focus was on ME, not on the scriptures.

Next, they told people things like, "Breaker has gone off the deep end!"

And finally, they LIED by saying that I called my old Pastor a "heretic." But I never said such a thing. Those were words that a person tried to put in my mouth that I never uttered.

Thus, the focus was on me, not on my teaching. I was a "crazy person" teaching false doctrine in their eyes, and I was ridiculed, mocked, and made fun of. But never once was what I was teaching looked at by any of them.

However, what I was teaching was nothing more than what I was taught from the Bible by the very man who turned against me! I went back and read his commentaries, his tracts, even a letter of his to my own father, and they all confirmed that what he once taught is what I'm teaching, and that I was not the one who changed.

The problem was that he and his croonies had changed and I had not. But I could not turn the focus on them. They would not allow it. If I tried to say, "You have changed your position," then I was labeled the crazy person who was speaking foolishly and the heretic that no one should listen to. They even attacked my credibility, and claimed I wasn't a Pastor, I never led anyone to the Lord, and I never started any Churches in Honduras.

That was fine with me. If they wanted to lie about me and discredit me, not problem. I know it's a lie and so does Jesus. But it does hurt some, especially since they were drawing a line and pushing me across it and telling others not to go along with me in anything.

Truly, I can't wait till the Judgment Seat of Christ, so that God will show them they were wrong.

But that's not important now. What is important is the issue itself.

The Issue once more is this, "Can a person be saved by prayer, and is it possible for a person to be tricked into trusting in their Prayer rather than trusting in Jesus Christ's shed blood alone for salvation?"

The answer is: "No on is saved by their prayer, and YES A PERSON CAN BE DECEIVED INTO THINKING THEIR PRAYER SAVES THEM!" This is exactly what happened to me. It also happened to my wife, and it's happened to many others.

In our day and age of "shallow soulwinning" in which a "soul winner" gives a person a presentation of only three or four verses from the Roman's road and then quickly pressures them to "Repeat a Prayer," it is common to see people tricked or deceived into thinking they are saved BY their prayer. That is they think the prayer itself is the SAVING MEDIUM.

This leads to a person eventually doubting whether they are saved or not, and the remedy for this by those same "soul winners" is for them to just "say the Prayer over again for ASSURANCE." Oftentimes, people pray the prayer over and over again night after night, HOPING they'll be saved because of it. But are they? Are they?

That's the issue, but nobody will touch it. Nobody wants to think that Churches are full of people like I was, who might have sincerely prayed a prayer, but have never been born again. It's because they are trusting in what they've DONE (their prayer), and not in what Jesus DID FOR THEM (in dying on the cross in their place for their sins.)

This "1-2-3, repeat after me" type of soulwinning often does more harm than good, as it does not give a clear presentation of the Gospel. Often, many are left thinking their prayer saves them. But where is this in the Bible? People like this are not saved. They cannot be. For if they trust their prayer, then they trust their own righteousness, and not Christ's alone.

But where are those faithful ministers of the Gospel who are pointing this out? They are few and far between. They don't want to "rock the boat." They just want to go along with what everyone else is doing, especially when it's easy to get a person to "repeat a prayer" and doing so makes it easier to "BRAG UPON YOURSELF and HOW GOOD OF A SOUL WINNER YOU ARE!" (Modern Christianity has become a "braggers club" and it's no longer about Jesus and what he's done for Sinners, rather it's about you and what you do for Jesus.)

So we see the focus is not on the Issue, rather on the man. People who talk like I do, are looked upon as "anti-soul winning." But that's not the case! I am very much for Soul Winning! I'm just against doing it in a shallow manner in which a person can end up deceived into thinking they are saved when they aren't!

But very few want to look at this issue. It's just easier to label someone a "Calvinist" who doesn't do things the same way you do. (I'm very much against Calvinism, by the way!).

So who gets hurt when the focus turns from the issue itself to attacking each other personally? Why lost Sinner's of course. They are the ones losing out. For they are left LOST and still going to Hell, but no one seems to care enough about them to make sure they are presenting them the Gospel clearly, and instructing them plainly to TRUST THE BLOOD OF JESUS ALONE for salvation.

But I care. I care a lot about lost souls. I truly want them to be saved. I also care about lost religious people who think they are saved, but aren't. I want to see them saved as well.

But once again, when I say something like that, the PHARISEES will bypass the issue and go straight to focusing on me, saying things like, "Oh, you just want to talk people out of their salvation! That's all you are interested in."

But that's not true at all! If a person is saved, I don't want to cause doubt. However, at the same time, as I read the scriptures, I see that a person who is saved will have assurance. So could it be that those who don't have assurance aren't saved to begin with, and they are the ones who truly need to be saved?

In closing, it's sad to see how focusing on each other instead of on the issue itself has led not only to the downfall of America and its economy, but also to the downfall of the Church as well. Because "politicians," both secular and religious, would rather play their silly games and exalt themselves in the eyes of others, people get hurt. In American politics, those who get hurt are the American taxpayers, who are asked to pay higher taxes for the stupid spending of those in power. But why should we have to pay for their mistakes and mismanagement funds?

In the religious world, the pride of ministers wanting to be looked upon as right while everyone else is wrong has led to a false gospel and a deceitful plan of salvation which gets a Sinner to DO something with their lips, without trusting only in what Jesus has DONE from the heart. And, even though this method makes the soul winner look good in the eyes of the "brethren" by counting how many people he's gotten to "repeat him in prayer," it doesn't really get a lot of folks truly saved. Instead, lost people suffer for it, as many of them get a false assurance of salvation, thinking they are going to heaven based upon their prayer, rather than on the Biblical means of faith from the heart.

Sadly, the issue is never dealt with. Politicians don't deal with the national debt, and get it paid off completely, and most Preachers don't deal with man's sin debt, pointing him to the shed blood of Christ that paid for it.

Instead, they are happy attacking on another, exalting themselves, and forgetting about the important issues.

Truly the Judgment will be terrifying for such men who only care about themselves rather than truly caring about others enough to deal with the issue so that they might be saved.

An ample quote about Government

I haven't written a lot lately. We are struggling like everybody else from the failed policies of our national leaders. I almost want to just move back to Honduras and live there illegally. At least then I could open a little "pulperia" (small store) in my house and live off the proceeds. And, I wouldn't even have to pay any taxes on it! What a great country!

Anyway, I found a quote today that I thought was worthy of mentioning. It is as follows:

"The sole object and only legitimate end of government is to protect the citizen in the employment of life, liberty, and property, and when the government assumes other functions it is usurpation and oppression."

That quote was by Ezra Taft Benson, as he paraphrased the constitution of the state of Alabama, of which I am a resident.

Notice the words together, "life, liberty, and PROPERTY." These were the original words in the Declaration of Independence, written by Jefferson. However, he later changed his rough draft and instead of leaving the important word "property" he changed it to the phrase, "the pursuit of happiness." And, we have been suffering ever since! Thanks Karl Marx! (I say sarcastically, because it was Marx who said that people's property, is rightfully theirs and was given them by GOD himself, was to be taxed. That's right. Marx believed in taxing what GOD has given to man. How wicked!)

Our government no longer believes in or practices the Declaration of Independence. In fact, our nation is a nation of DEPENDENTS. That's why this whole debt debate is going on today. Demoncrats are trying to hold on to entitlements, which are nothing more than government money given to people.

But what about life, liberty, and property? Well, the government is fast on the track of taking them all away. They can get your property easily. Don't believe it? Just don't pay your "property tax" and see what happens. Plus, with their laws which allow them to enter your home without a warrant they can take whatever property of yours that they want. They further have taken our liberties and are continually doing so. They are spying on people via internet and phone with massive envasions of privacy. They further and passing more and more laws which take away our rights.

All they have left is the "life" one. And with the new healthcare bill, with the "Death Panels" they can not only FORCE you to get and pay for healthcare, but then they set themselves up as gods on a panel to decide whether or not you are worthy to receive it. If it costs too much, then you'll be left without, probably dying much sooner than you might have had you been able to receive treatment.

Yep, what a mess! And that's not all. Did you know that the national debt has increased almost 6 trillion dollars (that's right 6 TRILLION) in just the last several years. Let me make that a little more clear: In just the last several years under the Obama adminstration. The national debt is now 14 TRILLION dollars and counting. If you take that and divide it among every household in America, that comes up to about 35,000 per family. But you know what's interesting? That 6 Trillion of "bailouts" that Obomba's administration has given away to corporations cost the American taxpayer about 17,000 each. That means, they could have just given a check for 17,000 dollars to every American instead of giving it away to banks and corporations deemed "too big to fail," and we still would be at the very same debt level today.

Can you imagine what would have happened if "we the people" received that money instead of the rich international bankers and corrupt wall street executives?

But it didn't happen. The corporations got the money. And, hey, aren't those the "bad guys" if you're a Communist? Aren't they the ones you are supposed to be against? I could have sworn that if you were a socialist, then the "free market" capitalist businesses were your enemy. Hmmm. So why did the government help them out?

So how do we fix this mess? Well, the demoncrats and the Pres are telling us we need to raise taxes. Oh, so we the people need to be the ones to fix this by forking over even more cash, and that will solve the problem. Wait..., what? Wait a minute! Why should we pay for Washington's mess?

I'm not in favor of raising taxes. That is, unless we start with the POLITICIANS first!!! (Have you seen the average salary a senator and representative make?)

Then we could tax corporations, but only those with ties to Washington like GE which because of tax loopholes paid NO TAXES AT ALL last year. Yeah, then we could tax the Federal Reserve. Why not? They are a PRIVATE CORPORATION and not really "federal" at all. We ought to make them pay for using the term "federal" when there's nothing federal about them. Further, we ought to tax the snot out of them for printing phony money out of nothing and then charging us interest for it.

Next, we should tax special interest groups that claim to be "non-profit" but seek profit for a selective few. You know, like SEIU, ACORN, NAACP, etc.

But then they'd probably have a heart attack and get their feelings hurt, running around and claiming "discrimination" and "racism." Yet they can be racist themselves and it's not a problem.

Is anyone seeing a pattern here? Wait a minute! I'm starting to get it. It's starting to sink in. Let's see if I can pen it down just right: "If you are in cahoots with the government, you get tax breaks, and even hand outs, but if you aren't a part of it, then you get taxed and taken from." Isn't that just about the jist of it?

That takes me back to my original quote above:

When the government gets richer while making you poorer that has to be the very essence of tyranny.

Political Correctness?

I've always despised the term "political correctness." Just the term itself sounds so anti-constitutional, conjuring up images of a lack of free speech, and a political control of what one is allowed to say. Since when do politics dictacte to us what is correct anyway? As we look at politicians, their lives, their morals, their actions, it's hard to think that they are goood, decent, moral people. Just look at the conduct of Mr. Anthony Weiner and the scandal he's produced lately. Or look at people like Nancy Pelosi, who don't even read the bills they vote to pass. Or look at those in power who force a "health-care" bill upon the American people, but then give away waivers to certain companies and individuals so they don't have to abide by the same law.

Why would anyone think that politics and politicians are good? And how could anyone think that Politics dictates what is right, whole, decent, and correct?

The fact of the matter is politics today is about control, not about correctness. And political correctness is about forcing people to adhere to g'vmental decrees.

With this in mind, I found a quote from a man named Baron Bodissey, in the June, 2006, Fjordman report. He says the following about Political Correctness:

"Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to cooperate with evil, and in some small way to become evil onself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control."

Political Correctness is a communistic practice! It is propoganda, in which people are intimidated into speaking a certain way, and made to look like idiots if they don't. However, it further insults their intelligence, as it disdains their thinking for themselves.

Thinking about this quote and watching the daily news it's easy to see that what Mr. Bodissey is saying is so very true. I'm almost to the point where I don't want to see, hear, or read the news anymore at all, for it is so obvious that it not about clearly reporting the facts, rather giving us certain stories in order to keep us entertained and not looking at what's really going on.

Bias is everywhere from news outlets both left and right. Instead of simply giving the facts, they have to give the slant or the spin in order to prove their case. But why can't they just report what's happened?

It's very common now to see television news not only giving you the story, but then inviting up to four different people on camera and then asking their opinion about the story. Since when it that news? Who cares about their opinion or interpretation. Just tell me what happened, period!

Political correctness is politics trying to mandate to the news what is right and what is not, and we are supposed to think a certain way. But what's wrong with just presenting the facts as they are, and letting the American people form their own conclusions?

This is not at all what a g'vment who wants to control its populace wants us to do. They don't want us to think. They want us to speak and think the way they do, and then just follow what they are doing, even if it's harmful to us or not. Their way is correct, and we must follow their politics or else. For to go against them is to be a trouble maker, an outcast, a rebel, or worse, a terrorist.

I'm none of the above. I'm just a guy who believes that correctness should come from God, not the G'vment. (Sadly, the g'vment seems to be trying to take God's place).

For me, I believe in Biblical Correctness, and following the word of God.

Church Secretaries

It never seems to baffle me how you can listen to preachers preach the Bible, and then when you look at their daily lives and how they do things, you find they go against those very things they are preaching.

As an independent, Independent Baptist, I like to take a long look at things and then sit down and question whether they are right or not according to the scriptures. But, this is something that you aren't supposed to do if you are an Independent Baptist. For in that denomination, you are taught only to obey the Pastor without question and do so without ever wondering if what you are doing is right or not. It's almost become a cult, in which you are pressured to DO something all the time, and never stop to rest or think. (You are also not even supposed to meditate on and spend time in the scriptures, for if you do so, you're labelled a "deeper lifer," whatever that means. No, the emphasis is on toiling and laboring, instead of on praying and preparing).

Because of this, it's become easy for a man who's a preacher or Pastor to deceive his people. He can preach one thing in the pulpit, but then practice another in his daily life, and no one questions it. His congregation is just too busy doing stuff to do so.

The Pastor's also lifted himself and his position up so high, that the sheep are taught to question the man of God is wrong, and to do so is to attack God himself. So in fear, people blindly follow their Pastors without question, doing everything they are told. But what if the Pastor does something that is unscriptural? Shouldn't we have the right to question it and him?

Some do talk to their Pastors and question things. But they usually all receive the same answer. Either they are lamblasted and ridiculed, or they are ostracized by the preacher who calls them "dividers" or "trouble makers" and then they are kicked out. But is that the right way to handle the situation? Certainly not. The Pastor should open the scriptures and prove his position BIBLICALLY from the word of God. The reason so many Pastors don't do this is because they know their positions and even their practices are not Biblical. This is why so many get angry and partake in name calling. They simply don't want to face the facts.

Such is the case in the modern day practice of having women Church Secretaries. Where this practice started is unknown, but it's a realitively new thing, gaining grounding only in the 1960's with the feminist movement and the push to get the woman out of the house and into the work force.

Many Pastors, especially Independent Baptist ones, are against women working, and are quick to point their congregations to the scriptures in showing a woman's position in the home. They quote verses like Titus chapter two, to prove a woman should be a house keeper and not a member of the work force:

1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Yet, as clear as the scriptures are that it's "sound doctrine" for a woman to stay at home, and it's "blashpemy" for her to leave her area, there are many Pastors today who go against this scripture by having woman secretaries in their churches.

Is it scriptural to have a woman work in the church? Of course not. Woman can do a lot in the church. But they aren't supposed to have positions of authority, nor are they to work as the secular world, for a paycheck. What a woman does in the church ought to be done for God, not for money. In the Bible, those who are supposed to work in the church in positions of authority are called deacons, and they are only to be MEN (See 1 Tim. 3:10-12).

Why then are there in so many churches Pastors who preach one thing (i.e. women are to be keepers at home, and not in the workforce), yet these same men practice something else (i.e. allowing women to work for a pay check in the church)? Isn't this hypocritical?

And haven't you heard of the terrible stories of Pastors becoming enfatuated with their secretaries and leaving their wives to run off with them? What a tragic and horrible testimony for a man who claims to be a man of God! Sadly, it's becoming more and more common. I don't know any one who claims to be a Christian who hasn't heard of such a story happening in their town, city, state, denomination, or fellowship. So why do we allow this to continue? Shouldn't we leave off the temptation all together by hiring only male secretaries?

By preaching one thing and then practicing another, Pastors have allowed the worldly influence of feminism to rear its ugly head into the Church. By hiring women to do the work of secretary, when the Bible says that men should be the ones in the work force and not women, Pastors have gone against the very word of God they claim to preach and believe. And not only that, they are teaching the next generation of girls that it's okay for them too to go out into the work force and leave the home. This tears up the family. Both husband and wife working outside the home leaves the kids in the hands of the state and the state schools, which in turn indoctrinates them in the ways of the world, and not in the things of God. (And we wonder why our children don't want to go to church!? It's because they have no desire to.)

God said a woman was to be a keeper at home for a reason. It was for the mother to take care of the child, and to teach him or her the ways of God. She was to be with her kids and train them up in the Lord. She was to be an anchor in the family. By taking her out of the home, the family is destroyed, and so are the children.

So why, oh why, would Pastors who know this and preach this, then turn around and practice it by hiring women to fill paying jobs in the church? How can they preach on thing and then practice another? It simply makes no sense.

College Education Makes You Dumber!

I've always viewed the world and it's way of doing things as "The System." It's a form of living set up by Satan to get people to think and act the way he pleases. It's not about doing right or living a godly life for Jesus Christ, while adhereing to his word. Rather, it's propogandizing kids and teach them how to fit in with the New World Order.

College fits into Satan's plan in several ways. First, it takes away all the morales a young person might have (i.e. everyone knows colleges now days are just "party schools" where children get away from their parents and sow their wild oats). Free love, parties, orgies, drunken revelry, etc. are all encouraged in College, especially in Fraternities and Sororities. Even homosexual organizations enjoy no opposition in recruiting the youth into their ranks, exhorting them to experiment with their bodies to see if they are straight or not. In short, College is a place Satan uses to debase the bodies of young people.

Second, college is a place in which the Devil destroys the minds of young people. In almost all colleges, God and the Bible are made fun of, while young people are instructed to "rebel" and "think for themselves." But rather than teaching young people how to think, colleges teach them what to think. Narrow-minded professors push Evolution, Revolution, Communism, and Eastern Mystism on the students, telling them that those are the best forms of spiritualism and government. But rather than comparing them with others, they teach those only while ridiculing everything else.

Further, they teach young people that there are no absolutes. Thus, everything is abstract, and that means you can never have any right or wrong. With this mentality, a child is ruined, never knowing what's good or bad, and they will usually live a life full of guilt from the many mistakes they make continually from day to day. Often this leads to heavy drinking, drug use, and suicide. College offers no hope, and because of this, students are hopeless in the world without the joy and peace that only Jesus Christ offers.

Finally, the outrageous college tuition fees lead most students to secure student loans which they most often NEVER find themselves able to repay. In debt they are pressured to find good jobs in order to pay off their loans. But with the failing economy, they struggle to make ends meet. Soon, they find they are working a 9 to 5 job not to get ahead, but just to keep from getting behind on their bills. They become nothing less than indentured servants working in the rat race for the sole purpose of paying the interest on their debts. Very seldom do they ever get ahead. So in debt they live rest of their lives never knowing the joy and happiness of having a savings account and being free from the burden of oweing so much to others.

Truly, colleges today make people worse off than better. They also teach them to be good robots working within The System. They become slaves which can't think outside the box. And rather than being taught truth, honor, and morality, they are left hopeless, with no one to rely upon but themselves, making them even more prideful and selfish.

I seems like everyone in the world today is against something rather than for something. It's sad, but it appears people have been taught to be hostile rather than hospitable. And, instead of standing for something, the world as a whole is focused on tearing things down.

You don't have to look far to see all the movements against things. You have your:

Anti-Colonialists

Anti-Capitalists

Anti-Creationists

Anti-Christians

Anti-God

Anti-Victorian Morales

Anti-Government

And more.

They all are adamantly against something or someone and seek to destroy it or them. And if you are a Bible-believer, you can't help by see why, as the Bible clearly tells us that in the last days this will happen. It tells us we are in an age of apostasy, in which people turn away from the truth, and the Bible further states that after the rapture the "ANTI-Christ" will come on the scene and rule for seven years.

Maybe there is so much anti in the world today because people are just simply preparing for their leader, who is ANTI-Christ Jesus.

At any rate, it's strange how many people are against things instead of for things. And if you do find them for anything, it's usually something the Bible is very clearly against. Sound like a conspiracy to you???

DOES PRESIDENT'S BIRTH CERTIFICATE SHOW A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN?

Well, the President finally put out his birth certificate today. Yeah! It's only been over two years. But hey, let's give him a break, right, I mean he doesn't do anything fast. No, he always takes his time, he's "too busy," you know. I mean he's got B-Ball to play, and rock concerts to go to and school functions to coach, and Prime Ministers to snub, and offending statutes to send back to foreign countries, etc. and etc.

But as I looked at the Birth-Certificate, I couldn't help but question some things. For on the certificate it said his father was AFRICAN, not AMERICAN, something that I already knew. Heck, the whole world knew it.

But this lead me to question the whole "Natural Born Citizen" thing. You see I went to college and learned about the Constititution and that to be a President, a person had to be a "Natural Born Citizen." And, I seem to remember being taught that that meant you had to have TWO PARENTS that were American citizens, and not just one. Hmmm.

So, my question is, now that we have TANGIBLE PROOF, which shows the President's father was not American, and that he only had one American birth parent, does that mean that he's eligible to be President?

I'm so curious about this. Because I always was taught that "Natural Born Citizen" means that you MUST be born in America of TWO PARENTS of American citizenship.

Now that the President produced a certificate that proves he's not born of two citizens of American, but only one, I want to know if that disqualifies him as eligible to be President.

I want to know this, but I also want others to question it as well. Why isn't the news media bringing this up? Why aren't more people asking this question?

I'm not for or against the President. I'm for knowing what the Constitution says and how to rightly interpret it. So, anyone have any idea what "Natural Born Citizen" means? Any quotes from the founding fathers? Any legal dictionaries or commentaries that define it? If so, please leave them below in my comments box.

Capitalism Only Works in a Moral Society

American used to be a capitalist society. By capitalist, I mean of course a free market society in which if a man will work hard he'll suceed and excel. In capitalism, and a free market set up, the harder a man works the richer he'll get, while the less a man works, the less he'll obtain. This is not only logical, but Biblical. In the Bible, a man's supposed to work by the sweat of his brow. The more he works, the more he'll gain and he'll enjoy the fruit of his labor. But, if he chooses not to work, or only work a little, he'll not have much to enjoy, and he'll suffer. This is how God set it up. Work more, get more, work less, get less.

But in our society today that's not exactly how it works. It's almost the exact opposite. It's almost like the guy who's a lazy bum and doesn't want to do anything can live like a King on welfare, while the guy who's out busting his rear end day after day working 12 hour days has to pay a good chunk of his income in taxes, which in turn go to the lazy welfare guy. How is this a fair system?

And then you've got the big "corporations." They sit back and rake in the profit, while they hire people to work for them on pennies a day. These workers then have to pay high taxes on their income, while the corporations (like GE) use their massives profits to hire lawyers to help them find tax loopholes to get out of paying any taxes what so ever. How is this fair?

Then you have the unions. They claim to want to help the worker, but they lay upon them heavy dues, and then they work not on behalf of the worker, but on their own behalf to inrich themselves. How is this fair?

Because it is not fair, the political left claims the problem is capitalism itself and they claim it should be done away with completely in favor of a communist or socialist form of government, in which the state dictates who gets what, and supposedly shares with everyone equally. But even this is not fair, as it's always the leaders and politicians that get everything while the peasants are left poor on purpose as slaves to the system.

The truth is capitalism is not the problem. A free market system will always work, and it has always worked all throughout history. (That is a true free market system). Just look at the Black market. There is no freer market system than a Black market, in which people offer something at a price and you either buy it or you don't. But even that is a problem, because the prices are usually very high on the black market. Why is this? It's because the real market has been regulated to death, and people would rather buy on the Black market than the real market, as on the real market they have to pay taxes, fill out paper work, hassle with licenses and beauracracy, etc.

No, the problem is not with a free market system. The main problem is the lack of MORALS. Capitalism works and has worked since the beginning of time. But it only works in a moral society in which people can trust one another. Once morals are disgarded and men become immoral in their business practices capitalism suffers and eventually fails.

America has gone down in the history of the world as the greatest country ever to exist! It received this honor for two reasons: 1. It granted freedom to all men, and 2. It was based upon a free market system in which goods could be sold or traded without regulation.

Both of these ideas were foreign to many Monarchs, Popes, Emperors, and Leaders before this time. For they all wanted men to obey them without question, and they all wanted to tax their citizens and get something out of them. They looked at them as $ubjects and as $laves in which they could use for a steady, residual income, preying off of them to enrich themselves. When they wanted more money, they simply raised taxes, and they did so most often only for their own selfish motives. They were immoral and chose to use people to satiate their ungodly lusts.

But America was different. It's founding fathers and it's founding documents honored God, the Creator of all things, and chose to set up a system of government with as little rules as possible in order to stay out of the lives of its citizens and allow them to live moral lives as good, upstanding citizens, free to do as they please, and spend on anything they want. For they believed a moral society was a good society.

No one can deny that America prospered under these ideals and became probably the richest country the world has ever known, with a people that had probably the strongest work ethic the world has ever seen, working hard and receiving the fruits of their labors. Even Europeans saw how quickly a man could gain wealth in America if he only worked hard, and they flocked to America's shores by the countless thousands, determined to gain what many called "The American Dream" of multiplying unto one's self lands and riches.

It was all great and it worked beautifully, as there was a gold standard, in which men bought and sold without fear of inflation. This lead to a strong currency and people wanting to trade with America. Even George Washington said, "Treaties with no one, trade with everyone!"

Proving he himself was a capitalist which believed in making money off of your own toil and sweat.

But then everything changed not even 70 years after the founding of our nation, as the North placed high tarriffs on the South. Their thinking was they South was immoral in owning and using slaves, so they chose to immorally place high taxes on the South with repressive legistature like the Morrill Tarriff. The South looked at this is wrong, and that eventually led to the whole "Civil War" thing, which made man even more immoral. (War breeds immorality).

Over time, the government gained more control and went from being a protector of the citizen and his rights, to the provider of the citizen and his children. With war pensions, grants, retirement checks and welfare the government began to dole out the cash, giving men "entitlements." Many become dependent upon these entitlements, and thus dependent upon the government for their livelihood. It doesn't take a genius to see how this demoralizes a person, and makes them think, "Why do I need to go to work if I'm going to get whatever I need from the governement?"

Progressives took over the government in the early 1900's and their programs led to more governmental spending and more entitlements (like Social Security, Medicare, etc), which lead to higher taxes to pay for them.

Instead of a pure free market system, the government then began to regulate corportations, and even individual's finances by laying an "Income Tax" upon them. This led to people not being able to keep all they worked so hard for, and left them with a deep felt resentment towards the governement taking their hard earned money, demoralizing them even the more.

In the 50's and 60's the welfare system was set up and it gave even more entitlements to others, which gave them even less incentive to work for a living. Hey, why work when you can just let the government send you money?

And that leads us to where we are today. The country is broke, it's almost to the point of bankrupcy, it's credit score is shot, it's credit limit is almost reached, and it's politicians are not talking about going back to a free market system, and taking away all regulation, rather they want to tax the people even the more.

What's the problem? Clearly, it's a lack of morals. If the government were moral, it would not make it's citizens dependent upon itself. This is exactly what brought down the Roman Empire! The State paid people to vote for certain leaders who promised them gold and silver for their vote. But you can't just give someone something without them working for it. That's immoral. (And of course, it's also immoral to buy people's votes!)

Now we hear talk of "Socialism" as the answer, in which we "redistribute wealth" to those who don't have it. Like Robin Hood, the government wants to steal from the rich and give to the poor. But how does this solve the problem? Especially since stealing is immoral!

Shouldn't the answer be going back to a free market system in which people are taught to work for a living and enjoy the fruits of their labor?

If we want to raise taxes on anyone, why not raise taxes on those immoral corporations that are paying little to their workers, while making massive profits, and at the same time not paying any taxes because they are in bed with corrupt politicians?

Sadly, that won't work either, as those corporations will claim that if they are taxed even more they will have to raise the prices of their goods, making the poor suffer in having to pay more for what they need.

So what we have is a cursed situation in which, as the old saying goes, "You are damned if you do and damned if you don't."

But what about getting back to a sound moral society? If everyone was moral, wouldn't that fix the problem? If you had a CEO of a corporation who was moral, wouldn't he take a salary like everyone else, and then give out gifts and bonuses to those who worked hard, while trying to help people afford his product?

If Politicians were moral, wouldn't they do their best to do what's best for the citizen and his freedom, and stop government spending completely and work towards getting back to the America we once knew in which individuals worked hard and prospered, trusting in God instead of government?

And if the people were moral, wouldn't they help their neighbors and take care of the poor, instead of letting the government do it?

Capitalism is a great system. It works, but only when society is moral. Immorality leads to abuse, and those abuses lead to man trying to regulate captialism, which always leads to a mess, and most often leads to repressive regimes of immoral men taking away men's freedoms.

God help us! Even so come Lord Jesus.

Verbo vs Palabra

If you speak spanish, and you know a little about the Spanish Bible Controversy, then you have heard about the word "Verbo" in John 1:1. But did you know that was a Catholic word that didn't show up Spanish until the late 1700's? And did you know that the word used before that was "Palabra" in Spanish?

All corrupt versions of the Bible in Spanish use "Verbo." All Protestant versions before the 1700's use "Palabra."

Gail Riplinger has done a great work in writing an essay about this, and showing why "Verbo" is so wrong. Not only is the word from the corrupt Latin Vulgate (that word is "Verbum"), but is also is a New Age, occultic word. And, it's a word that has been consistenly rejected by Christians down through millenia.

Here work is below. I hope it will open your eyes and help you to turn from a corrupt Spanish Bible, to a pure one, as the Valera 1602 Purified is the only Spanish Bible which does not use Verbo.

MAKING SLAVES OF PEOPLE

I got a book at a Garage Sale for a dime. It was written probably in the early 1970's, and it was about Tithing and the New Testament Church. In the foreword, the author wrote some interesting things, as he argued that BIG GOVERNMENT in churches can lead to making the people slaves to the Pastor, while making Pastors more coveteous of position and power, rather than compassionate and wanting to serve their congregations.

I quote from the book:

"Religious Organization is an association of people of like precious faith. A made-by-man vehicle to promote fellowship and the better facilitate the command of our Lord to "GO YE." God regards human engineered Organization mainly because he regards the men and women who make up its constituency. If a people be watchful and wise, organization can be health to their bones. If they become careless and foolish and more interested in the rewards of organization and the spoils of office than promoting the Sovereignty of the Holy Ghost, Organization can easily become a tyrant, A FRANKENSTEIN MONSER THAT WILL SHACKLE THEM AND DRIVE GOD FROM THEIR MIDST... Like any worthwhile piece of machinery, Organization can be misued to the detriment of those who made it. Thus, instead of serving its constituency and the cause of Christ in general, the very purpose for its existence becomes perverted, and the people who make up its membership are forced into becoming slaves to a system. This is especially true when men lose the Spirit of God and regard office and salary and position and power and prestige as coveted stakes as they do in a secular form of democratic government."

Am I the only who see this happening in modern Christianity today, in which people are made into slaves by many dictatorial Pastors, and the machinery of Christianity perverts the Gospel and puts the emphasis on growing the church instead of glorifying the Saviour?

It's sad, but many denominations within Christianity have become a cult or at least cult like in their political systems, in which they enslave people to a man-made program instead to simply following the scriptures as written.

I can't read Rev. 3 about Laodicea and not be bothered with how Jesus has been kicked out of that church and he is on the outside knocking to get in. God help us! If there anything that's needed today, it is for Jesus to be INSIDE the church!

Even so come Lord Jesus!

THE TRUTH ABOUT JACK HYLES

There is still a lot of talk today about Jack Hyles and his followers, known as "Hylesites." Many claim to remember the man as a great Fundamentalist preacher and defender of the Faith. And he is still revered by his followers as one of the greatest "Soul-Winners" that every lived.

But, was this man as great as others claim it was. Or was he not rather, to put it bluntly: a CULT LEADER, who raised up a movement which followed him and his teachings instead of the Bible?

The best way to find out who this man was, is to read more about him. The following links have a lot of information about the man, giving details you might not have heard about him, as well as strange doctrines he taught:

The last one is a little long, but it is worth a read, for if you really look at this man and then the fruit of his ministry, you will see that it is very shallow.

As a minister myself, I've had opportunities to meet other Pastors who have known this man, and who were either members of his church, granduates of his school, or followers of his, and they have all told me very strange and stories about the man. And, after having studied the man myself, his sermons, and after having looked at the many strange doctrines he preached, I'm left with no other conclusion than the man was a great blank, and a great reproach to the cause of Christ, for he spent more time pointing others to himself than he did pointing Sinners to Christ Crucified. (Note: He even had pins made up which said, "100% Hyles" in which his followers wore to show their loyalty to the man. Wouldn't it better to have a pin that said, "100% Jesus!"?

Mr. Hyles was not only an egotiscial, carnal man, who's fleshly desires showed forth in his preaching, but he was also a very shallow soul winner. I've personally heard time and again of stories told by him about how he bragged on his winning souls. Below I give just two examples:

THE ELEVATOR

In this story, Mr. Hyles supposedly lead a person to the Lord going down an elevator from one story to another.

But how is this even possible?

THE STOPLIGHT

One story that Mr. Hyles told was how he had "told God" that he was going to win seven people to the Lord that day. He was on his way home, and he had won (I use that term lightly) only six, so he stopped at a stop light and looked towards his left and saw a man in a convertible. He yelled to the man, "Hey, do you believe in Jesus?" The man responded, "I sure do!" And then Mr. Hyles drove off thanking God that he was able to win that man to the Lord through his confession in Jesus.

Now, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see these are not true conversions to Christ. In fact, that's not even enough time to give the person the Gospel. But as you look at the fruit of Hylesism, you find this same Shallow soul-winning in his followers, who very seldom take time with sinners to clearly present them them the bloody, crucified Jesus who died for their sins on the Cross. Instead, they often only give three or at the most four verses from the Romans Road, and then pressure the Sinner to only "repeat after them." But where is the Gospel in this???

Sadly, Hylesim gets the emphasis off the SAVIOUR and onto the SOUL-WINNER, while leaving the SINNER's soul hanging in the balance.

I'll give just a few more illustrations of "Hyleism" as case in point.

THE SOUL WINNER

I was in Arkansas with another Missionary, and we attended a Missions Conference. The first day they took all the Missionaries to play golf. I didn't play, so I went street preaching. The next day they went somewhere, but I went off with a teenager and preached downtown. The third day I could take it no more, so I went to the Pastor, a very big Hylesite, and said, "Hey, you got a lot of Missionaries here. Why not have us go to house to house visitation?"

The pastor replied, "Hey, that's a good idea! Why didn't I think of that?"

He gave us maps and told us where to go, but only after saying, "Anybody who wins a soul to Jesus we will support financially."

That left a bad taste in my mouth. People should win souls for Jesus, not for money. I seem to remember my Daddy telling me something about people who will do anything for money. What was that? Oh, yeah, they are PROSTITUTES!

Anyway, my partner and I came across two black men, and I watched my partner take them through the scriptures for a solid 45 minutes. When he got done, there were tears running down their faces, and they trusted the shed blood of Jesus Christ right then and there to save their souls. As these men drove away, the other Missionaries came up to us, one of them a cocky guy, who was bragging upon himself, and, "I won three to the Lord, I won three people to the Lord!"

When he approached us he asked my partner, "Did you win anyone to the Lord?" My partner responded, "Dear brother, I just had the opportunity to win two black boys to the Lord." To the which this Hylesite protoge quickly interjected, "Ha! I'm better than you, because I won three to the Lord, and you only won two!"

Is that how we are supposed to serve Jesus? Sadly, Hylesism makes soul-winning into a contest in which those who claim to be Christians turn into competitors who don't take their time to explain the Gospel clearly, rather only trying to pressure people to simply repeat a prayer, so they can quickly go away and brag upon themselves to the other brethren and say, "Guess how many I won?" But is this true Christianity? Are we to brag upon ourselves, or are we not rather to simply brag on Jesus?

And what's worse is oftentimes those who they claim to win to Jesus have no idea what's going on. They only repeat the words to the prayer they are given, not knowing what's going on. And the words come from their mouths, not from their hearts.

THE BUS MINISTRY

I'm not for or against bus ministries. I'll be frank, though, I am against PROGRAMS which many Hylesites use on their buses though. I talked to one young lady who used to ride a Hyles bus to church every Sunday. She said on the ride home they would tell all the children, "Now you can't have any candy unless you get saved! So pray this prayer!" Afterwards, they would ask those who prayed the prayer to raise their hands, and then they went and gave them candy.

I personally saw myself the Bible of a man who worked one of Hyle's bus ministries, and on the front of his Bible he had the names of those he'd supposedly won to the Lord. I clearly saw the same name written down THREE DIFFERENT TIMES. So when did that person get saved, because you only get saved once? Did that person ever really get saved to begin with?

THE BLOOD OF JESUS

I preached in a church in Guatemala for a Missionary from Hyles School. I preached on the Blood of Jesus Christ. When I finished the Missionary told me that he was wrong all those years for not preaching the blood, and that he will start preaching it more often. So, WHY WASN'T HE PREACHING THE BLOOD BEFORE?

Sadly, this is common with most Hylesites, as they preach a BLOODLESS GOSPEL, and try to coax Sinner's into coming to God through repeating instead of stressing the need to trust Jesus through repenting (i.e. turning from trusting their own righteousness, to trusting the blood and righteousness of Jesus Christ).

In Guatemala with this same Missionary, I saw a book he had which claimed to be written by Hyles. (Interestingly enough, it came out AFTER he passed away. How you write a book after you are dead is interesting). The book was entitled, "The Blood, the Bride, and the Book." Both me and my wife read it, and afterwards we both said the same thing, "It was like a confession from the man of what he didn't preach in his ministry and what if he had it all over again to do he would have preached." In other words, it was like a CONFESSION of his not preaching the BLOOD for salvation.

IN SUMMARY

Whether you like him or not, Jack Hyles has had a huge impact on modern day Fundamentalism. With his Pastor Schools, College, Books, etc., he has affected many pastors within the Independent Baptist Movment, many of which often mimick the man and imitate his programs and methods. But are they doing right by doing so? Should they too follow his shall evangelism techniques, which leave out faith in the blood of Jesus Christ?

The answer is a simple, NO! They should instead turn toward the scriptures, and preach the doctrine means of salvation by FAITH in the BLOOD of Jesus CHRIST (Rom. 3:25).

Hyles' appeal to others was the size of his church. Every Pastor wants a big congregation. But as you study the life of Hyles, you will find he compromised on what he taught in order to get such a large following. He also compromised his morals, which lead to his strange doctrinal teachings. He also allowed women positions of power in his organizations, and never taught on the home, and the position of the husband as a type of Christ and the wife as a type of the Church. Because of this there were many divorces within his ranks, and many busted homes and unhappy children.

If you want to follow Hyles and lift him up as a great man, then you are free to do so. But the truth is he is very shallow in his morals, in his doctrine, and in his soul-winning. So much so, that one who is a true Bible Believer must even wonder if he was saved to begin with, and whether or not he ever really won people to Jesus. For Hylesism is nothing more than modern day Phariseeism, in which many ministers have learned from Hyles how to be nothing more than little dictators who lead their congregations as they please. Instead of encouraging them to read their Bibles and follow God according to the scriptures, many Hylesites get their congregations so busy doing something that they often are left weary and worn out, and thus willing to passively obey without question. (Note: Those in Hyles' college who studied their Bibles often and for many hours were often ridiculed for doing so and labelled as "Deeper Lifers." What ever that means.)

As for me, I'm going to exalt Jesus and point Sinners to him slain for their sins on a Bloody Cross. I'm not following a man. I'm following the man Christ Jesus who died for me.

And, I'm going to win souls THE BIBLE WAY, and not the HYLES WAY. If you don't know the difference, then you need to find out. For Hyles method often leaves 'em converted to Hyles, but many times unconverted to Christ.

Submitting to your Pastor or your Pastor Submitting to you?

This is much injustice in religious circles of today, much as it was in the time of Jesus. The Pharisees looked righteous outwardly, but inwardly they were wicked, ravenous wolves. They only cared about gain (how much money they could make) and how they could look more godly in the eyes of others.

I'm sure if you looked at them, you probably would have thought they were truly holy. They probably would have said things like, "I'm so blessed of God, just look at all I have that God has given me!" And, "I do so much for the Lord, just look at how spiritual I am because I do that!"

And, you probably would have believed them that it was indeed God that gave them all they had for their service to him. However, the truth is they were schemers and deceivers who enriched themselves by taking advantage of God’s people. Just look at what Jesus said to them in Matthew 23:

10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

Even though they looked spiritual outwardly, they could not fool the Lord. And if you could have seen them inwardly, as Jesus did, you would have seen a greatly different picture than what they tried to present to others, as they were completely eaten up with avarice and greed, which lead to their bitterness, hatred and malice towards Jesus Christ.

And, if you were to look at their fruit, you would find that their religion was all LIES, as they were the ones who crucified the Lord. They would not submit to him or his rule, even though he was their God--Their Messiah. It's because they wanted to have the rule over man, and they wanted to run things their way instead of God's way. The priests desire was for the people to submit to them so they could get the fame and fortune. It was all about they themselves, and not about Jesus.

How different a picture is painted in the New Testament of those called Pastors. Jesus did not say they were to be Masters, rather "Ministers." That is one who "ministers" to others. A Pastor, then is not to be like the Phariseeical priests but rather is to be a Compassionate Preacher. And he is not to Lord over his congregation, or milk them for money. The Bible is very clear about this in 1 Peter 5:

1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

But are all Pastors today like this? Sadly, they are not. Many brow-beat their congregations and command them to submit to them, just like the Pharisees of old did to the people of Israel. Often they preach so hard on tithing, faith promise, mission giving, etc., that you would swear that’s the only message they know to preach. (Not that there is anything wrong with giving money to God. But people should do so because they love Jesus, not because they are pressured or made to feel guilty if they don’t).

Of course the Bible does tell us to submits ourselves to our spiritual leaders in Hebrews 13:17, which reads:

“Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.”

But notice this is spiritual submission, and it is submitting to a man who cares about you and watches for your souls, not so that he might profit, but so that you might be profitable unto the Lord.

This verse also states that a Pastor will one day give account of himself to God for how he treats you. I wonder if those Pastors of today that are spiritual dictators or little Popes who use their power to manipulate their congregations for their own profit ever think about this. They will have to give account to God for their actions!

In Matthew 20:25-28 we read:

"But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."

Here is a command from the Lord for a Pastor NOT to exercise “dominion” over his people, but rather to MINISTER unto them as a servant. The Pastor, then, should submit to his people to be there for them and help them, take care of them, pray with them, talk with them, etc., in their time of need.

1 Timothy 5:17 tells us plainly how a Pastor or a Minister is supposed to rule his congregation: "Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. "

Pastors should always point people to the scriptures, and tell others what the word of God says. And they should follow the word of God themselves, especially when it tells them how they should behave. 1 Peter 4:8-11 commands:

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

It’s easy to tell if a man is a good Pastor or not by whether or not he points people to the scriptures and glorifies God, or if he only gives his opinion and uplifts himself. If he is continually telling his congregation to follow him instead of follow God then he’s most likely a sorry excuse for a Pastor.

And the truth is you don’t have to submit to such a man, especially if such a man is not willing to submit to God, and submit to you in ministering to you.

This is an important doctrine, as it’s common today to hear about “Pastoral Authority” abuse in which Pastors use their positions of power to control their people, manipulate them, and make them do their will.

You mark it down, if a person is in a church, but he can’t do something because he says, “My Pastor won’t let me do that,” then HE IS IN A CULT!

A true Pastor is someone who will talk to you, and be willing to open the word of God and tell you what it says. He will not tell you what to do, but he will encourage you to do what God says, and he will exhort you to do it because God said it.

So, does the congregation submit to the Pastor, or does the Pastor submit to his people? How would you answer that question? Think about it for a second. How would you answer? Stop reading right here and right now. Don’t read any further. Close your eyes and answer that question to yourself.

How did you answer it? If you only said a congregation should submit to their Pastor, you are wrong! If you answered only that a Pastor should submit to his congregation you are also wrong. The truth of the matter is that both should submit to each other!

The congregation should submit to the Pastor in allowing him to preach to them God’s word, and they should heed it from his lips. And the Pastor should be willing to be available for his people, prepared in knowing what to tell them (Col. 4:6) always ready to give them an answer from the scriptures (1 Peter 3:15),

If you are in a church where you Pastor only preaches that you must submit to him, but he never preaches about how he is supposed to be your minister, your servant, submitting to help your spiritual needs, then you just might be in a CULT! And you need to get out. Don’t worry about what the Pastor says, for many who preach submission to them, will usually say things like, “You’re out of God’s will unless you obey me!” Or “You’ll be out of God’s protection unless you submit to your Pastor!”

But the truth is, God didn’t say that that man had to be your Pastor. You have a choice to choose the man you want to be your Pastor. And you can pick up and leave at anytime and find another church, especially if you feel the man who claims to be your Pastor is trying to control your life, and tell you what to do.

Submission works both ways in the Pastor – Congregation relationship. It’s not to be like the Priests of old that through fear and intimidation coerced the people into believing they had to be under their authority and obey them or else God would destroy them. THEY were the ones God destroyed, and the ones Jesus preached against when he came. For, they were only interested in power and money, and theu used their positions of authority for ungodly gain. If your Pastor does the same, SHAME ON HIM! If he doesn’t, and is a great man of God who loves you, prays for you, and is there for you 24/7, then you ought to get down on your knees that THANK GOD! For you really have something to rejoice about!

Change within the IFB (Independent Fundamental Baptist) Movement

Sometimes I think about old Rip Van Winkle. What an interesting story about a man who went to sleep for forty years, and then awoke to find things were completely different than they once were.

That got me to thinking. Imagine, if you will, what it would be like to really go to sleep for forty years and then awaken. How different things would be after forty years! Your speech would not be easily understood, and you would immediately be shunned and ridiculed for not changing with the times in your style of dress, your mannerisms, and your way of thinking. You just wouldn’t fit in. Nor would you be accepted.

Well, “Times they are a changing,” and we see much change (a modern Obama expression) all around us in our world today, especially in Christian circles, which are supposed to stand fast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord (1 Cor. 15:58).

But what about those of us who refuse to change? We are called old, “Fuddy Duddies” and the like, and ridiculed for not desiring to change with the times. But shouldn’t we stand fast, no matter how much others change?

We who are Christians are supposed to be followers of God. What does God say about change. Oh, that’s right, he said, “For I am the Lord, I change not!” (Mal. 3:6). And, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”

Obviously, God is against change.

But my how quickly Christians have deviated from the things of God, and changed. And, oh how much Christianity has changed in the last 40 years. It’s baffling to me to see how quickly they have changed in just the last ten to 15 years (since I’ve been in the ministry).

Many preachers are now meeting in huge Bible Conferences and attacking our beloved King James Bible (and I’m just talking about so-called Fundamental Independent Baptists).

I’ve even heard of some changing the Gospel, claiming it needs to be updated so the world will accept it. I even heard one Fundamentalist Indp. Baptist Preacher say lately: “Times have changed, so we need to change the Gospel to keep up with the times!” What would Jesus say about this?

Christian “counseling” has even changed, as Christian Psychology has replaced the old time way of going to the Pastor and asking him to show you from the Bible the verses that apply to your situation.

Christian music has changed, as upbeat, worldly rhythm has replaced the old-time Christian spiritual hymns. And, instead of focusing on the Biblical message of the words, people are more interested in the results of the melody (i.e. clapping, jumping, dancing, raising hands in the air, etc.)

Sadly, Christian standards have changed, as sanctification is no longer stressed, and churches are encouraged to dress as they wish and live any kind of lifestyle they desire with no restraints.

I often think to myself how interesting it would be to go back in time 40 years or so, and bring forward today an old time sin-hating preacher and ask him to visit some Independent Baptist Churches (my denomination) and tell me what he sees that has changed. How interesting it would be to hear him point out the differences between the IFB movement of his day and the one of today. I’d just bet what he saw would make his blood boil, to see how liberal modern Fundamentalism has become. All because they (as a majority, but not all, there is still a small minority) have changed.

The Problem with the World Today

We live in wicked and evil times in which people today are so depraved they no longer care about themselves or others, as they are completely given over to the flesh.

I remember my Dad tellling me that in his day (he grew up in the 50's) they had a saying, "If a woman smoked, then she'd do anything. Because she doesn't even care about her own body." How true.

But that was way back then. Imagine how much more wicked people are nowdays. Smoking is just the first step. Then they get into Marijuana, then to Cocaine, and more. If a person would do that to themselves, obviously they don't care about themselves or their own bodies. And if they don't care about themselves, they certainly won't care about you.

It should be no surprise to us that people are so selfish and sinful in our age, for we were clearly told in 2 Timothy chapter three what the world would be like in the last days:

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Even Jesus spoke of the last days, telling us in Matthew 24:12, "And because the iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold."

Truly, we live in a cold, iniquity-filled world, in which most people are so full of wickedness that they are completely devoted to doing evil. But why is this? I believe the Bible tells us exactly why this is in the following verse:

Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Ecclesiastes 8:11

This verse tells us that because evil doers are not punished for their sins, this makes them want to sin even more. In other words, they do wrong and then when they don't get caught, they decide to do it again. Eventually, they get accostumed to sinning, and even enjoy it. And the deeper they go into transgression, the worse they become, until they are, as the verse says, "fully set...to do evil."

This is the problem with the world today. Men choose darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil (John 3:19). And because there is no recompense for the evil they do, this emboldens them to sin even the more, oftentimes taking it to the extreme.

Sadly, the world system is set up in such a way that it makes it easier for those who do wrong to prosper, and for those who do right to suffer.

For example, if you want to live a pure, moral, godly life today and you want to get a job or start a business, the laws are not in your favor. They make it hard for you to get started. If you do, then you are taxed to death. And as you do business, you'll find it harder and harder to compete against the larger corporations which are cornering the market. You're lucky if you can make any profit at all.

But if you want to do not want to do right, but you want to make a lot of money really fast. Then you can choose the dark side. You can become a drug dealer, or a pimp, or a prostitute, or an internet pornography mogul and you can make oodles of money, for there are always people wanting to pay for that!

It's almost like the entire world lieth in wickedness (1 John 5:19), and they would rather do wrong than do right.

It's always easier to go with the flow rather than to fight against it, and if you honestly look at the direction of the world today, you'll see it is headed down the path of depravity and destruction. It really takes a corageous person to go against it. That's why many choose not to, saying things like, "Hey, why fight it? Just give in. Everybody else is doing it, so you might as well too!"

But this is not what the Lord Jesus Christ wants. He tells Christians they are a "peculiar people" (Titus 2:14), and he stresses their need to be holy (1 Peter 1:15,16)

Sadly, there are many "Christians" today which are not holy. Many are so full of the world that they are doing the same things the world is doing, engaging in fornication, adultery, extortion, lying, cussing, etc. Why is this?

Could it possibly be that, um, well, they aren't really saved?

No, no, that can't be, for just to utter such a thought outloud today will immediately get the following dogmatical response from my many preachers, who would cry out: "NO! No! We can't dare think that! No, if someone mentions that, then they are guilty of making people 'doubt' their salvation, or of trying to 'retread' Christians. No, we dare not mention this. It's Unthinkable!"

But then again, it would explain a lot.

We need to realize that the world and the church should be complete opposites. As the world lieth in wickedness, the church should live in holiness. It should be different, separated, sanctified, a vessel fit for the Master's use (2 Tim. 2:21). The church should be a shining light in this world of darkness. It should preach against sin instead of practicing it.

How about you. Are you adding to the sin in the world today, or are you actively trying to live for the Lord Jesus Christ, serving him from a pure heart, and trying to separate yourself from every sin that so easily besets you?

The rapture is coming very soon, and then the world's complete depravity will come into fruition. You think things are bad now, just wait until then! The Tribulation will be a HORRIBLE time to live. The only way out is to be born again and go at the rapture. I know I'm going. Do you?
